Meet a woman from Oshawa, Canada. I am now officially a "senior" so I guess I should be somewhat reserved. However, that wouldn't be me so here goes: I am very family-oriented and hope to remain a big part of my granddaughters' lives. I tend to be a bit of a "social butterfly" and have many fabulous friends, most of whom are "life-long" or at least "decades-long" but I also enjoy meeting new people.
Apparently I am reasonably attractive, appear much younger than my age and well-groomed. I can be spontaneous when put to the test. I try to keep a positive outlook and pride myself on being "non-judgemental" and I appreciate the same in the company I keep. I couldn't help but notice that many of the men on this site prefer their 'partner' a great deal younger than themselves. I think we all need to broaden our horizons.
A sense of humour is at the top of my list as a character trait in the company I keep. If we were to play a round of golf, I hope you are patient and tolerant, as I am not particularly athletically inclined but I do enjoy the game.
The simple things in life don't have to cost a lot of money - walks in the park, outdoor concerts, a drive in the country (although this last one is getting to be a bit costly with the gas prices today!)

Meet someone special from Canada. Well to start with , while I'm NOT beautiful, dogs don't howl and small babies don't shriek in terror. I have most of my orginal parts and they are all in pretty good working order. I don't take my teeth out at night and my hair stays in place (on my head). I fairly ambulatory on my own and am allowed out at night by myself (without a "keeper"). Actually what are we supposed to say about ourselves and be truthfull. I am who I am. I do NOT have the body od a twenty year old, nor do I have the mind of a twenty year old. I work full-time as nurse in a long-term care facility and I love my job but am looking forward to retirement when I can go back to school and get a BA in history, travel and enjoy my friends . I love to entertain either at home or out. . There are not too many things that I don't like. If I am not too familiar with a situation I look at expereincing it as an opportunity to learn ( my spelling is terrible isn' it???-so is my typing) I have two grown kids who are a major part of my life but are not my complete life. I am very proud of them and it is important to me that they be proud of me-after all I AM their mother. I truly enjoy family dinners when I get a chance to cook a family meal. My long terms goals are to 1) Learn to fly a plane, 2) Ride a camel/elephant-doesn't matter which as long I am in their home country and 3)to touch the Great Wall of China. As soon as I get one done I'll add another on to the list. My short term goals are a cruise in JAnuary. I also love to "run away from home" on easy day trips that can take me any where my car is headed. I am thinking of Moosonee in the fall-only because most people have not gone there and I think it would be neat to be "unusual" (or strange as some may say. -but who cares lol) I do not have a photo, as I am technically disadvantaged and do not know how to get it from my camera to the computer and I have not determined how to take a picture of myself- I mean if I took it in front of as mirror, all you would see is the camera in fron ot my face and what good would that be???. But I am a good nurse. I mean if you think that you may be interested but you think I may be Gawdawful, we could arrange to meet in a crowded palce and if I was too ugly, you could pretend to be meeting some one else guess you can tell , I have a warped sense of humour and can see the funny side of most situation I am optimistic. Life is good but it could be better to have someone to enjoy it with I am reasonably financially secure(I know it's all relative) and am not looking for some to support or look after me. I don't want some to lead me or follow me, just walk with me and be my friend If you have read all this, you really are patient and I would like to assure you that in spite of all the errors in typing and spelling, I am an intelligent articulate woman who's mother toung is English Imtruble - truble is FUN
