Meet a man from Ottawa, Canada. I like music, dining, walking, etc. I like exploring, domestically and internationally. My ideal holiday is going somewhere where there's a pool or beach and everything is within reach. Musically, I like most music except doof-doof, trance, etc. i listen to a lot of news and current affairs on the radio. I am a news junkie. I like my sport, particularly Rugby League and Cricket. I can't say that I have a hobby but I do like technology and gadgets. I like to play golf too.
I try to keep active and I scrub up well. I have some pride in my appearance. Work is something that is very important to me. It defines me (for better or for worse). That said, I keep work to 50 hours a week and I travel nationally and internationally with my job which I enjoy.
Personality wise, I am an optimistic, positive, go get'em sort of person. I am a leader at work and in my field but like to have things more even at home.I am very open minded (and you should be too). I believe in "differences".
A few things... I am not rich. I do have a son who I have once a month. I don't desire more children of my own. I do believe that a good relationship involves mental and physical components. I know this is all a bit blunt but it is better to say these things up front.

That’s essentially me in a nutshell. I question, I probe, I'm usually the first to raise my hand in a crowd to ask about something when the rest of the crowd remains silent, and I'm the contrarian who acts when others refuse to. I am also the guy who gives flowers for no reason, who believes that "date night" is important, and will express affection not because I have to but because I want to. I'm easy going and am happy with a fine cooked meal or something as simple as a tuna sandwich. I've been told I have a sense of style and that I have a very dry sense of humour. When I laugh everyone around me knows it and I'd like to meet someone who shares some of these qualities.
But doing these things is difficult when you don't have someone special in your life. And sadly I have not had that joy since my wife passed away a few years ago. I think I am beyond the reach of the deepest part of the grief and this is my effort at beginning a new life and trying to find out if lightening can strike twice in the same place. If that lightening leads to something romantic that would be great. But I would also be happy if I made some new friendships.

This part is difficult to answer since we don't know who we would be attracted to until we meet them. So rather then saying what I am looking for I'm going to leave this question unanswered.
However, there are three things that are must -- you must be a non-smoker, you have to have a decent photo of yourself, and having a university/college education is a must. And please, if you are a smoker or don't have a photo don't bother since I won't reply.
