Question: What's harder than filling out a profile for yourself? Answer: Doing it twice because the first one didn't seem to "take".
Really, I am an engineer and this stuff should be straight forward. I know I even saved it someplace on my computer, but probably someplace safe. GQTMS
So you may have guessed I'm not the most organized engineer around, but I generally get extra marks for being creative. I'm also rather chatty which is very un-engineer-like. Ran out of room on the first profile attempt. shooting for short this time.
I'm looking to start out with dating and having a little fun, keeping it light for now. Of course like us all, I want to find that special lady that will fill the rest of my years with joy and happiness. And I chose the word "lady" with care, because I, and many others, consider myself to be a gentleman. Give me half a chance and I will get the door for you. I walk on the curbside of the sidewalk, and I can tell you why that is important, both now and historically. I give up my seat for older ladies, and older gentlemen too. I help my neighbours when I can and will offer you my sweater if you are chilly. Good manners are important and I do try.
I love my job, probably spending too much time at it, but I am working on changing that, even turned down a promotion in favour of another assignment to do just that. We can chat about work later though, because although it should not totally define us, it does take up a big piece of every day and should be important to us. (hint, if it isn't, find a new job)
I do Karate to stay fit and would like to introduce you to that. Or Thai Kickboxing which I just started and we could learn together. I think Martial Arts should be on every woman's bucket list because you never know. We could "roll" in Jujitsu too, but my joints don't heal quickly enough to get beyond beginner level, but its fun to roll.
Who am I looking for?
I am a male, thus fairly shallow, so looks are important and there must be an attraction. Do I get some points for being self aware at least?
Like everyone else, I'm looking for an honest and open person because that's what I am. Of course that is just the sort of thing a dishonest person would say too, so I guess you will have to figure that one out for yourself... as will I ;-)
If you can dance and teach me at the same time, that would be a bonus because I would like to learn.
Humour is important, I can't tell a joke to save my life but a play on words is always good for a laugh or 2 and hopefully you "get me". Most do with a little coaxing. There are a couple in here if you look. :-)
Hopefully you cook, because I eat ;-) I am learning to cook and am gettng pretty good if I say so myself. Of course the BBQ is my domain, though sharing the cooking would be fine (you might get the big half though :-) But then the dishes are my responsibility
But for the moment I have to run off with this half done. I'm renting out my cottage and I have a customer to attend to, my very first! (up to my second now! off to a good start.) So I don't want to disappoint. and now I need some sleep. goodnight.

I lost weight lately too, so I don't want to misrepresent myself. Maybe you could feed me back up to my "content weight", though I rather like being at my training weight. A few pushups together, and a healthy diet, and we can end up in the middle at a happy, healthy, content weight :-)
