I was born in Russia, and moved to Canada 12 years ago. I did my school in Ottawa, and moved to Peterborough for work. I enjoy camping, outdoors, and team sports such as hockey and soccer. I also enjoy spending time painting, cooking, or building something with somebody or by myself. Occasionally I will be up for something spontaneous, but I do tend to plan major steps in life.

Meet single boy from Canada. Well, everyone enjoys talking about themselves, however at the moment I feel a little bit like I have been put on the spot. I am sure that I am supposed to be saying something witty to grab your attention followed by some details about myself. At the moment, wittiness fails me. So I will just skip to the point and describe myself a little. I am a happy man. I am happy with my job. I am happy that I am surrounded by great friends and family and am thankful that I have them all in my life. I read. A lot. Might as well get the awkward geeky moments out of the way now. I read everything, from fiction to biographies, to history books and have a passion for graphic novels. Although I have a passion for the graphic novels I do not have an extensive and dewey decimeled catalouge of them, I only collect the ones I love. I am a multi-faceted person. Most people are, I am, however quite aware of the disparities between how I speak and look and of my interests and hobbies. I own an Iron Man helmet and arc reactor that lights up and makes sounds, I also own a lightsaber. Yes, I do realize just how geeky this could seem, but I feel that it is humourous and helps me maintain a child-like wonder about the world and all its many mysteries.
On the less geeky side, due to my voracious reading habits, I have developed a vocabulary that I do enjoy using. I have issues with grammer and am prone to comma splices and run on sentences, at least that is what every english teacher I ever had has told me.
I cook for a living. I love it. I love cooking for friends and family as well, however there always seems to be some kind of mishap involved when I cook privately. Always makes for good jokes though!
I love to travel and unfortunately do not do it enough. I have been to Greece several times and love it there. I also would love to travel through Italy and France. Food and history make good bedfellows.
I could go on ad nauseum about myself, but really where is the fun in that? I find it to much more interesting to get to know each other in person over coffee or very well made cocktails.
Apparently I am also supposed to, according to the instructions at the top of this box descibe what I am looking for. Well I am looking for someone I can share adventures with. Random road trips. I am looking for someone who enjoys travelling and enjoys learning while travelling. I have never gone on vacation to an all-inclusive resort and just soaked up the sun. As wonderful as that sounds (I am quite open to that idea, but after I have seen the wonders of Rome and the beauty of Paris) I enjoy going to places where there is some new and interesting thing I can learn. I am looking for someone who knows what they want from their life, someone who wants to share the ups and downs and minutae of their daily lives with each other. I am looking for someone that gives their all to their partner and someone that I can give my all to.

I'm pretty down to earth and seem to be able to strike up a conversation with anyone of any age; I've done my share of travelling (mainly for work), and am not opposed to continuing to see what the world has to offer, but am also at the point in my life where I'm ready to settle down a bit. I rather quite efficient in the home, I love to cook, and cleaning seems to come naturally too me.
I'm a single father; my son (3.5yrs old) means everything to me and is the source of so much of my strength. If you got a problem with him, I guess you've got a problem with me? It's really hard not to like him though, he is probably the cutest kid ever and extremely well mannered .. but enough about him ... I would love to introduce him to the right person.
