What I am is an intelligent man who excels at communicating. I am very monogamous and never want to be monotonous. Having been on my own for almost 5 years i cook and clean and fix everything in between. (too many Dr. Seuss books with the kids has rubbed off) I am comfortably retired after a very interesting and rewarding 33 year career. I am very social but value time with someone special. I live in a good neighborhood in far east Windsor and enjoy walking the trail to keep in shape. I am extremely healthy now that i have the time to take care of myself and my family.
What i am not is a bad boy, poor boy, pretty boy, phony boy, or even a boy toy. (this is me trying to be witty)
I am 6' 2", 200 pounds, blue eyes, dark brown hair that nature is starting to highlight for me. (i'm not as follically (i know it is not a proper form of the word but you get my meaning) challenged as it looks and i really don't like many pictures of myself) I also like to work with my hands and can build or repair most things.
I do not believe in the 3 day or 3 date rules as such. I am too old to play those types of games and If there is mutual interest i will not wait for three days to call. The only thing a 3rd date means is the next date would be the 4th.
I believe in romance and writing something special on cards, i never forget birthdays etc, enjoy moments together on a sandy Caribbean beach or even just shopping.
I am hoping to find someone who can allow themselves to enjoy life, you must want to laugh at me and with me. I want to find someone who is able and interested in travelling. ( i especially enjoy cruising) I hope to find someone who likes to be picked up on time, likes compliments on how you look, have her door opened for her, dropped off at the door when we get there.

Meet a soulmate from River Canard, Canada. First of, I live in the far east end of Windsor, almost in Tecumseh, so I'm not sure why this site has me in River Canard.
Now that I have that off my chest....
I'm looking for the lady that makes me say "Wow, where've you been all my life."
I've been divorced for about 7-8 years. I have three kids, all in their 20's, two of whom live out of town.
I am a chartered accountant but I no longer work for an accounting firm. My job is not sexy but it pays the bills and I enjoy it. I work Monday-Friday 8:00 - 5:30 (roughly), after which I normally head to the gym to do weights or play squash or sometimes both. My workouts are a big part of my physical and mental well-being. The gym is more than just a gym to me as I've made lots of friends there and we socialize before, during and after squash. Golf a bit in the summer.
As to what I'm looking for in a lady... You should be aprroximately my age, in good health and have the ability to be active. The lady who I will have the best chance of building a relationship with will have some of her own things to do that she likes, will accept that I have to do mine and there will be some things that we will do together, not because we feel like we HAVE to do things together but because we WANT to do things together because we enjoy each other. I don't want a girlfriend just for the sake of having a girl friend.
I can be sarcastic, sometimes maybe too much so but I'm getting better at toning it down. I like having fun. I am not materialistic. I am frugal. I like nice things but I don't always need the latest and greatest. In fact I'm usually late to the party on new things. I don't have an I-pad or even an I-pod for that matter. I drive a 2006 Ford Escape. I could get something fancier but I like this vehicle.
I enjoy being active but I also I like my down time, I don't want to always be on the go. Yes, life is short and shouldn't be wasted but you should also take the time to just enjoy it, let it soak in.
