Holding down a regular day job and having a second career as an Outdoor Writer keeps me fairly busy. I have been an Outdoor Writer for 17 years and a member of the Outdoor Writers of Canada for 6 years. I write for several publications both local and throughout the province and the country.
Just as much as I am a hunter and angler, I am a conservationist and preservationist and have volunteered many hours to conserve and preserve our wetlands and wildlife.
Although I do enjoy my socializing (networking), I also like my downtime at home as well. With my son and daughter grown and gone, I have a lot of freedom to enjoy my passions without restriction.
I enjoy dining out at times and fancy trying new culinary creations. I love to eat and love to cook just as much. Cooking for that special lady is something I would do regularly.
What I enjoy most is spending time out on my property in all seasons whether I'm hunting in the fall or enjoying my ATV, riding the trails or gearing up to head to one of my stashed away lakes during the spring and summer.
Sunsets, and warm campfires are always on my list.
