Recently I moved to Toronto to set up a home base. It's great to be here. I am drawn to larger urban centers as I find the diversity that cities offer tend to make things more socially-politically interesting, fun and occasionally inspiring.
My present career is oriented to international settings; I am about to deploy to Afghanistan for a year, but it comes with regular breaks on leave that allows for back-and-forth.
I enjoy CBC radio as well as BBC and NPR. Public lectures, music and slam poetry do it for me. Issues of social (in)justice -both local and international-catch my attention; ranging from discrimination to inequality to global politics. I am inspired by individuals or groups that help their community. I don't claim to be personally effective in achieving real change for others in these regards, but you might say this is where my inner compass points; I have a lot of respect for those who DO make a difference.
For me, trust is about the number one thing I look for in a relationship. I am attracted to someone with self-confidence (who isn't?), has a sense of style, has both personal and professional goals. In a material sense I can dress up / down and generally everything in between. I wear boxers. And good briefs. Like everything, it all depends! I am reasonably adaptable to whatever the context. Physically, I am about keeping in shape. I enjoy running just about daily and training goals such as 10k and bigger projects.
