I enjoy cycliing, hiking and canoeing and have over the past decade been sea kayaking on both coasts, the saguenay and st.lawrence with my family and more recently with one or more of my kids. I take great pleasure in arranging a canoe or kayaking trip with each of my kids each year (depending on their availability) Two years ago for her 30th and my 60th birthday, may oldest daughter and I did a sea kayaking trip along southwest corner of turkey. Last summer my brother, youngest daughter and I kayaked through the southern gulf islands near Victoria. However, they're now less available and would like to a companion/swetheart who would camp, canoe, hike and kayak with me.
I'm very interested in travelling and exploring many places in the world. The queen charlottes and great bear rainforest, croatia, norway and vietnam coasts as well as New Zealand and the islands of the south pacific are on my list. Also on my list would be hikes down the appalachian trail and the spanish camino, trips to the galapagos islands and walking and biking trips in northern and southern france and great britain. Recent trips to amsterdam, antwerp and northern europe as well as istanbul and southern europe have wetted my appetite to immersing myself further in the culture, history and beauty of Europe and and I look forward to heading back in the near future
I have a very active psychology and psychotherapy practice as well as a personal yoga and meditation practice. I am trained as a yoga teacher (although not practicing at the moment). I love (the inner game of) golf, racquet sports of all types, cooking, card and board games, and live theatre.
