. Recently returned to TO after 9 years abroad: Hawaii, Australia, Vancouver. City life is great, but I enjoy cottage country immensely. I used to own a place near Georgian Bay. Spend as much time as possible with friends up north - always coming up with some elaborate dish or meat for the barbie. I love to cook everything from Mediterranean to Indonesian and have a particular fondness for traditional Hawaiian dishes. As a general rule, I eat healthy, homemade and whole foods, but never turn away a delicious sausage or bacon when offered.
Ideally, I would like to meet someone who can spell, and laugh at the absurdity of profile writing. A sense of humour is absolutely key. Hipsters are ok, but Abe Lincoln beards are not. A love of the outdoors and sports (participating, not watching) is very important. I am a proficient windsurfer, skier, snowboarder and stand-up paddler. I currently suck at kiteboarding but hope to change that. My surfing skills are limited to shoulder-high, despite having lived in big wave environments for years. I like to ride a road bike, but do not have one at the moment (hope to change that too). I no longer skateboard after breaking an ankle dropping into a halfpipe about 7 years ago. What was I thinking...
I have many close and amazing friends here, on the west coast and in Hawaii, my life is full and happy, but it would be fun to have a partner to bring along to the social and sporting gatherings. Social, yes, bars and clubs, not so much. And I don't have any tattoos.
