About me: I am a truly happy and content person, surrounded by loving friends and family. I'm kind and try to see the good in everyone, but may tend to be a bit naive in this respect. I have recently been told that I am attractive, intelligent, funny, fun-loving, kind, good hearted, compassionate, a good listener, and loyal. Wow! I've been back in the GTA for just 3 months after 15 years away, most recently in Whistler, BC for 4.5 years. It's been quite a culture shock to return and my spirit still longs for the west coast; but I have to say there's no replacing the bonds of family and close friends who are here.
I'm a psychotherapist/counsellor by profession (I have a graduate degree in social work) and I've also taught elementary school including on a fly-in reserve on James Bay. I've lived rurally for quite a few years, but I really need both the city and the rural life to be happy. I've got an aesthetic sensibility (I love nourishing all of my senses) and really enjoy sharing that with others. I have an advanced degree from the school of hard knocks and a depth and spirituality that comes with that type of journey. It would be wonderful to find someone who appreciates that.
In a man, I really enjoy wit, intelligence and worldliness; but being grounded is a must. I respect compassion and a big heart, and need patience, warmth and belly laughs. Date a soulmate from Ontario, Canada. Being such an honest person and on this site for about 3 months now I must admit that it is not what I had expected. Perhaps there is someone out there for everyone but I will be honest and state that this whole dating thing really is not my forte. I am sure there are those that enjoy the whole dating process but I think that there must be those out there like myself that really are not enjoying weeding through the trenches hoping to find that "match" that will add that bit of spark we are looking for ....I have met some interesting men and perhaps some not so interesting men but again with my honesty I have to admit that I have come to realize in a very short time that this on line dating realm is definitely outside my ideal path of finding that special someone. But in today's busy modern world we must jump outside our comfort zone at times in order to grow and explore and so here I am for 'one last try ' for another three months....LOL................So about me......I am an intelligent, easy going, drama free, sensual woman with an executive management career. An independent single parent that has focused my last 7 to 8 years on my son. Now that my son does not need his mother as much I find that I have realized something is missing. I believe if you do not expect life handed to you on a sliver platter than any good fortune is a bonus and you will appreciate what you have worked hard to obtain and life will not throw you anything that you cannot handle.... What am I looking for?? Do we truly know what that is until we find it??? Isn't it just that missing link that fills that void?. The one that we are all here to find?. The extra part that sees the best in us and accepts our flaws? I can state for sure that he must be honest and financially independent as I am. A sense of humour is always a must especially in the stressful world we now all live in.
