Was in India over x-mas break; lived in Ghana for a year in 2006, have travelled pretty consistently over the years all over the world, but also love home and would like to do some home improvement on my old clapboard house. Prefer cooking and eating at home to going out (understatement), and would love to share kitchen duties. I play with friends often (hiking, skiiing, biking, etc.), but never feel relaxed enough to dance unless i have a scotch or two, which only happens about twice a year. Go to group fitness and yoga classes. I`m kind of `non-groomed` but can dress it up when required. Light on jewelry and make-up. Heat my house with wood. My dog doesn`t have the best personality.... what to do... he`s mine.

Meet a woman from Quebec, Canada. My family are the centre of my life. I love my grandchildren (7-5 and 3 yrs old and 1 expected in June 2012); and I really enjoy playing with them. My 3 horses and 2 dogs are an important part of my life too.
I believe I have a sensitive, warm, patient, empathetic, understanding character. But, I don't let people walk all over me. While I have the confidence to look out for myself and to live alone in a rural home, there are some gaps that a loving partnership and companionship would fill. Grateful for and take pride in having been able to have a good career that permitted me to provide my 2 boys and myself with what we needed.
Many years of living alone and being the family earner have created an independence in me that might sometimes show up. But I love holding hands and cuddling and sharing talks, long intellectual and current affairs discussions and sometimes intimate conversations with someone I trust and care for. I enjoy belly laughs, the wind in my hair, being outside in a natural environment, galloping on my horse and riding behind the driver on a motorcycle.
Travel in North America to places I haven't seen yet with a willing mate would be super. I enjoy some beach time, hiking time, and of course, trail riding with my horses. But my partner would not be expected to ride or hang around with the horses unless he enjoys the sport and the animal.
My wish is for an honest, sensitive man who can show his emotions, his happiness and sadness, passions and dislikes, love and caring who puts his family first.
I'm somewhat of a private person, but would enjoy increasing my social circle, going for long walks, motorcycle rides, a movie, horseback rides and travel, among other things.
I've had the opportunity to travel for business and socially, with my children at times: sailing in the Caribbean, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, UK, Mexico and of course, the USA. Also, a work related trip to Zimbabwe.
