Date single man from Canada. Hi ! Welcome to my attempt to describe myself. Let’s start with the more relevent parts : passions and interests. I have an ongoing abiding interest in the world : seeing it, understanding it, being involved in it. Since February, besides my full-time job as a French language teacher, I’ve been collaborating on a photography project about the student strike in Quebec. I’ve been in the streets, making portraits, interviewing people, shooting crowds and individuals, dodging tear gas cannisters and all the rest. I’ve got a strong social conscience and I enact it through my photography projects. Having said that, I’m also a rather normal guy with a job (full time french language teacher to immigrants, and I love it !), decent money, a lovely appartment, wonderful friends, a love for yoga and healthy food. I even smoke the occasional cigarette (oops !) Like everyone on this site, I like all the usual things : music, sports, movies, a walk in the woods. I’d probably be described as a mixture of adventurer and normal working guy, a sensitive intellectual who likes yoga, meditation, action movies, a good laugh and a good conversation.
I also really like traveling, but I’m not a bourgeois traveler. Don’t get me wrong, I like a week or two in Paris or on a Caribean beach now and then, but I also like the other world, the ? Third World. ? I’d like to explore it more. I’d like nothing more than a partner that would be willing to accompany me to China, to India, to Palestine or other Middle Eastern nations, maybe a partner to bounce ideas with me when working on a photo project in Haiti. I guess what I’m getting at is I’m not looking for a house in the burbs and a two-car garage. I’d rather put my money into a decent affordable home in Montreal and an exploration of the world.
Kids ? Well, I have one. He’s 25 and he grew up in Denmark, a lovely accident of youth. We talk every week and we’re off to India this summer together. Another kid ? I’m not against it at all. I have the ache for that in me, but I need the right person. I don’t want a child to chain me to a daily grind, although a good home is important to me. I’d like to take him or her with us, an adventure. If you have a child, that can work too. Who knows what might happen !
Our chemistry has to be strong. I like sex and would not be happy if it was not good between us. After that, we have to share enough interests and goals to make things sustainable.
