Date single man from Yukon, Canada. I yam ( as popeye would say) A transplanted Montrealer via up-state NY, Oswego, to be specific. I arrived in Whitehorse in 1966 for a 2 year stint, that was then. Still here after 42 years. I liken the NORTH to a wart, it kind of grows on you!
I came to teach high school Industrial Arts. That lasted 9 years. Loved the students but rapidly became dissatisfied with the bureauracy.
Since 1975 I have been an entrepeneur. Ran a boarding kennel c/w feed sales. Ran " unlimited class" dog teams, had a mobile refreshment stand,was a teamster & ; since 1988 have opened &; run Yukon Spring, a bottled water company, which is still in a growth pattern, started a new company in the spring called " Sani Blast ( cleaning & sanitizing water holding tanks ), which has had moderate success( anything new takes time to develop).
I m basically a home body.
My strong assets are, I believe, Honesty, Integrety, Loyalty, Trustworthyness, Forthright, Easy going, romantic, passionate, innovative, self reliant, a fixer, ambitious, hard working, old fashioned ethics, independent , funny, & conservative. I suppose I could go on but would sound like Carouso preparing for a recital ( me, me, me )
I enjoy reading, TV, eating out, stimulating conversation & quiet times with another close by, not necessarily in descending order, intimacy.
I believe that one can only understand another over time & with more dialogue.
