I am a very hard worker and have been building my career for the last 13 years. It's now time to step back and build a social life with someone. Communication is a MUST cant say that enough. Your opinion does matter to me as do your feelings and what your thinking. I want to know and not assume. I am not a mind reader... regardless of how I try. I want to talk about any and every thing. The good and the bad... can't appreciate one without the other.

Now, He discovered many new things He did not know of; He discovered backcountry skiing and all the things you can do in the mountains, and He loved it, and He never looked back, and the boy in his heart never grew up. Yet, He was older, and He learned to appreciate more sedentary thing, and He like staying home, and taking care of plants and of his dog, and reading stories, and enhancing his house, and making things, both practical and beautiful, and having friends for dinner and enjoying their company, and listening to all kind of music, and talk about the religions of the world and about philosophies, and sometimes just relaxing and looking the starts. And He liked all things that stimulates his imaginations, and fantastic things, and science fiction things, and computers, and for that, He was creative, and He made a living out of it.
Now He was still a boy in his heart, and He did not work for someone else; instead, He ran a little business, so He could manage his schedule, and hit the road once in while, and be a little boy, and travel, and explore. And He still dreams of mountains; the big ones over the sea. And one day, He will go and scramble them up, and discover new cultures, and see for himself. And one day, behold, He will settle again, and build a house; one that respects the environment and that is in sync with it, and that is comfortable, and warm, and creative, and welcoming to friends. And He will grow food, and make things, and enjoy a simple life, and the life of those around as well. From thereof He will establish a base camp, and keep exploring new places; as there is always something new to discover.
But for that, He is looking for one precious thing He have not find yet. And this a special someone who will change his story, and make him grow, and make her grow, and share, and experience life, and travel, and have adventures, and make things, and discover things He does not yet now of. Meet a man from Canada. OK, so I thought I'd expand my description to provide a better picture of who I am and what I'm looking for. I'm a single dad of a four year old girl who lives with me most of the time. I love being part of a family and everything that comes with it. I'm conservative in many respects and liberal in others. I can be opinionated but at the same time, open to changing my views when new information or an intriguing new perspective is presented.
I grew up in the city so hunting, fishing and camping aren't activities I have done too much of, but it's more about a lack of exposure than a lack of interest. I'll definitely go camping with you as long as you don't mind that I can play my guitar around the fire better than I can actually make a fire. Speaking of guitar, it's what keeps me grounded and what get's me through just about any of life's hurdles. In my younger days I played lead guitar in bands around Vancouver, sporting hair down past my shoulders and paint-em-on jeans (gotta love the eighties). Now I put on my best concerts alone in my living room with my acoustic guitar after my daughter goes to bed...and sadly I look like an idiot in long hair and tight jeans (gotta love being 42).

I'd rather go kayaking, hiking, climbing, cycling or lift weights than play sports on a team. I value a small group of life-long friends over an endless supply of superficial acquaintances. I prefer a house party over a club. I'd be much happier to spend the rest of my days with one special woman than to have my way with as many girls as I can get my hands on...what were we talking about again?

I love to joke around and poke fun at human nature. But at the same time, I have a deep respect for the difficult road so many people have had to travel in this world. I have lived in three Asian countries over a period of five years doing everything from teaching English to rescuing third world children from the streets. Within my own country, I have worked with inner city youth in Vancouver as well as with First Nations elders in the Yukon who have been traumatized by residential school experiences. Presently I work for Health and Social Services and continue to love helping improve lives.
I'd like to meet an intelligent, pretty, honest and kind woman in reasonably good shape who can be classy when appropriate and goofy when everyone who is being appropriate turns their heads the other way. Ideally you view yourself as family oriented. This is not to say you don't enjoy independence, you're own friends and going for a night on the town, but it's important to me that you have a natural tendency to live from the nest as opposed to feeling obligated to making an appearance between social events. I would love for you to have a wacky sense of humor but know when it's time to be serious. Hopefully you can put up with my sometimes inappropriate humor, and see the charm in my playful attempts to get a reaction out of you...and aren't too hard on me for not knowing when to be serious.
No decision I make or action I take is without careful consideration of how it will affect my daughter.I keep my dating life completely separate from her and will not expose her to anyone I am romantically involved in until there is a sense of intended permanence to the relationship.I would love to meet someone with a young child,but I'm just as open to meeting someone with grown children or with none at all.Of primary importance is that you love children and that you are receptive to the possibility of one day becoming a positive female role model to my girl if things were to work out between us.
