Date a man from Whitehorse, Canada. "...Once, there was was a boy, who grew up to be a man. But in his heart He remained a boy, and kept a place for adventures, playing, exploring, stories, imagination and creative things. And He loved the mountains, and the remote, and the unknowns. And one day, He left his job, and his apartment, and his car, and his life in the city. On that day, He grabbed a pack sac, filled it with his hiking boot, his tent, his climbing shoes and hit the road with his thumb. He went West, and explored the mountains He has been dreaming off all his life. And He hiked up mountains, and He climbed other, and He enjoyed it, and He never went back.
And it came to pass that He reached the Yukon, and He loved it, and He settled. Now, He discovered many new things He did not know of; He discovered backcountry skiing and all the things you can do in the mountains, and He loved it, and He never looked back, and the boy in his heart never grew up. Yet, He was older, and He learned to appreciate more sedentary thing, and He like staying home, and taking care of plants and of his dog, and reading stories, and enhancing his house, and making things, both practical and beautiful, and having friends for dinner and enjoying their company, and listening to all kind of music, and talk about the religions of the world and about philosophies, and sometimes just relaxing and looking the starts. And He liked all things that stimulates his imaginations, and fantastic things, and science fiction things, and computers, and for that, He was creative, and He made a living out of it.
Now He was still a boy in his heart, and He did not work for someone else; instead, He ran a little business, so He could manage his schedule, and hit the road once in while, and be a little boy, and travel, and explore. And He still dreams of mountains; the big ones over the sea. And one day, He will go and scramble them up, and discover new cultures, and see for himself. And one day, behold, He will settle again, and build a house; one that respects the environment and that is in sync with it, and that is comfortable, and warm, and creative, and welcoming to friends. And He will grow food, and make things, and enjoy a simple life, and the life of those around as well. From thereof He will establish a base camp, and keep exploring new places; as there is always something new to discover.
But for that, He is looking for one precious thing He have not find yet. And this a special someone who will change his story, and make him grow, and make her grow, and share, and experience life, and travel, and have adventures, and make things, and discover things He does not yet now of. He has been told that He is generous, funny, respectful, reliable, upright, tolerant, indulgent and patient, among other things..."
This is nor a story nor a game, this is my life so far and what I'm looking forward too, this is what I'm offering. I'm for real and don't hide behind a fake profile, but I'm definitely not your "standard" guy—I could be a very good catch, one of a kind, but definitely not for everyone. Much more can be told, but we need to keep something to talk about, right ;-)
