I've recently moved out of the city to a small town where it's pretty quiet, and the sunsets are good. Although there are lots of opportunity to play hockey, fish, and a new-to-me house that could occupy a lot of my time, what I’m really looking for is a partner to enjoy and experience life with. I like to run, grab a coffee and go for walks on less trodden paths, maybe take the dog out and enjoy the quiet time. I enjoy hiking, camping, cross country skiing – not to say that I’m a super-intense, outdoorsy guy, but I do like to take a day or two, and a night or two out under the skies or in a pub talking about the day. Ever notice how good a beer tastes after a big day out? I appreciate art, and architecture, and enjoy trying to make things in my home and yard look interesting. I love live music of all kinds - bad live music beats great recorded music any day. I am pretty curious about a number of things. Which brings me here: I think the woman I'm seeking is kind, curious, a lover of books, animals and the great unknown. I believe I may be a little on the quiet side – at least, at first – but if there’s something there – between a woman and I – well, I’m willing to take that leap of faith, open up and jump on in to the deep end.

Describing me is pretty simple...I live for my my kids, I have an amazing son (9) and daughter (9) who live with me about 50% of the week...yes they are twins and no they are not identical (you'd be surprised at how many people ask even after I say they are a boy and a girl).
I know I am not yet the man I would like to be but I work on it everyday and keep going forward.
I am far from perfect, so I'm not looking for the perfect woman...just the perfect woman for me and my kids. Just so it's clear though, my kids have a great Mom so I'm not looking to replace her. If you asked my daughter what she thinks the perfect woman for her Dad would be she'd say "just someone to make Dad happy and keep him from getting lonely when we are at Mom's, and she'd have to be nice to us."
I'm pretty easy to please and am just as happy watching a movie at home or wondering this great land.
I am in no way unhappy or unsatisfied in life...my kids and I are happy and healthy. What more could I ask for...well...the love of a good woman would be nice.

I love the outdoors and many other things that you can see in my profile. I am also a bit of a home body and love to cook for my kids and just have a quiet evening at home now and then. (Couch yes, potato no.) I love to travel, especially to Europe, but I also love exploring our own great country of Canada. Christina Lake, BC is our annual summer destination. Friends would call me easy going and nice. I try and be gracious, considerate of others and flexible in relationships. Although I like and interact well with people I can be reserved as I like to feel comfortable first. I am and keep active both physically and mentally doing a lot of different things including volunteering doing environmental work surveying nesting raptors (birds of prey) which is featured in my pictures, with the Stampede and community functions as I believe one should give back to the society one lives in.
My kids (4) all have lives of their own so I am alone now but and I have some very good friends. I live on the family ranch but don’t work it other than to help out when required. I have diverse interests and background besides the interests listed above I have lived in a foreign country, learned the language well enough to go to university there.
