I can definately say I know who I am and know what I like when I see it, and will know if I will be a great fit with a match. I have a huge heart, and love to see those around me happy. I try not to take life to serious, and try to make the best out of any situation. Family and friends are very important to me, and would take a night in with someone special over the bar scene any day. I can truthfully say I would have never imagined myself trying online dating, but I do not get the chance to meet alot of new people with my social circle and work. I love fast cars, big trucks, and crazy bikes lol. In the summer I love biking and camping, if you call it camping, tents freek me out lol. So I bought a house on wheels. I love to travel, but have realized that it is just not the same when you don't have someone special to share the experience with. I enjoy being able to spend quiet nights staring at the stars, and being close to someone you care about. I love to relax around camp fires and be out doors as often as possible.
I am a very spontanious guy, and hope to meet someone that is not afraid to just get in the truck and drive to nowhere. I am a very caring, faithful, and honest guy, that will always treat that special person like a queen. at the end of the day, the woman always makes the man :). I’m not good at writing about myself, but I think my family and friends would say that I’m honest, kind and loyal with a great sense of humour. I consider myself a good listener, but be aware that I have been known to voice an opinion on occasion, lol. I’m the proud Dad of two wonderful daughters, who are well on their way to making their own lives a reality. I still enjoy the daily challenges of my job despite having worked for the same company for 30 years. Some people would say that indicates a lack of ambition; I prefer to think that shows staying power and the ability to make the best of sometimes not the best situation. That being said, I am closer to the end than the beginning of my career and retirement is tentatively planned in 5 or 6 years though at this point, nothing is concrete.
I like to travel, although I haven't done much in the past few years. I’ve become aware that I would much rather discover new locations or reacquaint myself with familiar and comfortable places having someone with me. I’ve never been on a cruise, but would love to give my sea legs a try. Love being near water, whether that is an ocean or simply a lake; must be the Pisces thing. I love photography, although I’m my own worst critic. I like most types of music, but prefer older rock, pop and top 40 stuff. Although I played many different sports over the years, golf is the only one that I participate in now; can you help me with my short game, lol? The Saskatchewan Roughriders, Montreal Canadiens and New York Yankees tear my heart out almost every year, but it’s fun to have something outside of myself to root for. Some of the things I've learned from past relationships: Tomatoes are indeed fruit and not a vegetable. Laughing is essential. Perfection is impossible. Better to be single than to be in a bad relationship. If it's worth it, I'll work for it; if it's not, I won't. Don't say anything you'll regret because you can't take it back. Finally, you must expose yourself emotionally - it's the only way to reap love's greatest rewards.
First of all, I would love to have a lady in my life; that being said, I do not need one. I’m secure, happy and content in all aspects of my life, but would like a special someone to share and chart the next journey together with. We would start out as friends and become much more than that. I smile when I think about you, whether you are next to me during a walk or apart for whatever reason. We can be ourselves around one another without feeling judged. We can sit in a room, both doing different things and we’re entirely content because a moment ago, when one of us passed the other, that little caress on the cheek told us that we are happy to be there. We like making plans together whether they’re for that evening’s dinner, this weekend’s activities or next year’s vacations. We appreciate our quiet times together because sometimes life simply gets hectic. We don’t have to have all the same interests because learning and discovering new things together is fun too. I would also like to add that if you’re into jumping out of a perfectly good airplane or tying an elastic around your feet and bailing off of a bridge for fun, you’ll be on your own for that, lol.
