I just moved to Edmonton from Vancouver Island in BC and I know nothing and no one here! Im looking for fun, friends and what ever else happens along the way.
I recently graduated from VIU with a Bachelor of Science degree that I am very proud of and now Im searching for my dream job. A nerdy sense of humor is a byproduct of my years of education but is also entertaining (and maybe a little adorkable).
I havent been in town long enough to really establish a social life (this is the 24 hour mark of arriving) but I have an eclectic group of friends back home and enjoy doing many different things. I like to keep busy but I also go through days where it is nice to relax at home as well. Im pretty flexible when it comes to social activites! I love spending time outdoors so if anyone knows any good swimming or camping spots around here that would be great to know. Or if there are any other activities that a silly island girl doesnt know about!

I'm shy at first but once the conversation gets started I am anything but shy. I am a pretty laid back person, I really like to just relax outside whether that means sitting in chairs, walking by the river, rafting down the river, tossing a football, or cycling. I like playing team recreation sports (I just starting playing on hockey and flag football teams).
I have a huge passion for cooking; I love to try a recipes and re-create them into something new. I also love to do triathlons. I have just completed my seventh race, and looking for more to do!
Concerts are pretty much the only way to experience music. I have been to many and will go to many more. Ones I have been to include : Muse, Coldplay, Metric, Arcade Fire, John Foggerty, Bedouin Soundclash, Stars, Franz Ferdinand and Death Cab for Cutie. I love all kinds of music, and if I haven't heard it before I would love to give it a listen!

Just earned my degree from the U of A and graduated with Distinction. Just recently accepted an offer for a fantastic job. Recently bought myself a newish Civic Coupe. Hmm...what about me? I am all over the place! I love going out. You can usually find me doing my thing on the dance floor. I love staying in, chilling on the couch watching hockey.I can be quiet and reserved at first but get to know me and you'll see a totally different side of me. I'm random, oblivious and a total klutz, so I tend to make people laugh just by my sheer behaviour...falling up the stairs...waiting for the elevator for a couple of minutes only to have a person who saw me standing around come and press the button for me and walk away...yeah. Definitely not afraid to poke fun at myself =p
I like a good conversation- academic, emotional, bizarre. Keeping up with current events is important to me. I can tell I am a traveler at heart, but I have not had many opportunities to travel cause of school. Now that I am done, I want to spend as much time abroad that I can. I wanna do some crazy things like zip-lining and SkyJumping at the Stratosphere. Im a caring person and have always given people the benefit of the doubt (I work with people in conflict with the law). I am very non-judgmental. I'm tatted (6 of 'em), swear like a trucker and have a different sense of humour given my professional background. I've always been a very busy person. My routine is pretty much Work-Gym-Sleep-It's the Weekend thank god, repeat. I am super mature for my age, but I am still super young and I am still finding myself. I have many experiences (...you? =p) yet to come.
Who am I looking for? I am looking for a man with stability in his life- I need to know that he can take care of himself (in a self-sufficient sense, of course I wanna care for my guy). I am hoping to attract a man who is also educated (post-secondary) and with a job. I think the reoccurring themes in the traits that I would like in my partner are independence, patience and acceptance.

Date someone special from Canada. I am someone that I'd like to think is, generous, kind, caring, easy going and funny. I would also say that I'm extremely independent, i have a hard time letting people do things for me, I always try to achieve and conquer my goals on my own. I am looking for a relationship, yea, I'd like it to be serious, but its not something that needs to be rushed into. I also, don't play games, I'm really straight forward and expect the same from the person that I'm with. I wanna have someone that I can spend my time with and just have fun with. It definitely would be nice to have someone care about me, as much as, I do them!
I'm noticing that everyone is talking about their interests and what not, so I think I'll just say a little bit more. I am a very open minded person, but because I am so open minded, I think that makes me really indecisive haha. I love to try anything at least once, I'm really adventurous and love sports. I may not be totally obsessed with sports, but I love to play sports and even down to watch too ;).... I'm also planning on going back to school in the fall, and going to Grant MacEwan for they're Emergency Communication and Response program (technically I'm going to school to become a 911 operator) I have been officially accepted in now!
I'm not gonna lie I am a big city girl but I do LOVE my outdoors. If I can get out camping or anything of that sort I'm definitely down for!

Traveling is one of my passions and I do the best I can to enjoy different destinations as often as possible. I work lots so it can be hard but I make sure I have time for the fun things in life. I really can't stand that. I work in Fort McMurray and as you can imagine the stares can get to be a bit much.
