Yes, I have 3 amazing kids! I'm proud to say that I am a single mom. I have a pretty good job and I just bought a place out in Cochrane last summer. I've been through a lot but have come out Of the whole situation wiser and stronger then I was before.
I'm originally from Manitoba but I've been in Calgary for the last 10 years. I still make it out to Manitoba @ least once a year to catch up and spend time with my family. Family is very important to me, I'd do anything for them and they would do anything for me (hopefully) lol. I know one thing for sure I would not trade the winters here for the winters in Manitoba. I cannot survive without the Awesome Chinooks that we get. I can dress up if need be but my weekend wear is usually pretty casual.
My idea of fun is going outdoors in the summer, I really wish I knew the hiking trails around here as I would for sure be out there all the time. As it is I only go on the walking paths in and around Calgary. Just this past summer I found out about Biig Hill Springs park and I absolultely love it out there. The very first time I went out there I lost my sandal crossing the little ravine (It managed to get sucked in by the mud) luckily I had my runners in my back pack. Needless to say It was very memorable.
If my friends were to describe me they would say that I am independent, loyal, honest, charismatic, un-selfish, strong willed and that I have a great sense of humor. I have no trouble laughing at myself too.

I've recently moved to Alberta and have been utterly distracted by a new job, new home, and connecting with new people...
...so a little about myself...I love to laugh, learn and try new things. I'm pretty independent and lately I can be found at hardware stores (even though I don't really know what I'm looking for), outdoor summer markets (mostly soaking in the community), or working on my house (which has been a whole new adventure for me - just ask the mouse). When I take a break from that I volunteer, connect with friends and visit family. I enjoy traveling, reading, and entertaining friends and family. I stay active with my dog, my yard and camping with my family.
I like a bit of everything in my life - fulfilling relationships, inspiring work, adventurous fun, new places, food, music.Over the summer, I like to spend my weekends quadding, camping, renovating or gardening. I don't often get bored and I'm not afraid to venture out try something new.

I am an active person who enjoys lots of sports such as running, mountain biking, snowboarding, skiing, swimming, volleyball, basketball, hiking, etc. I enjoy setting new goals and working towards achieving them. One of these has been to participate in half marathons and triathlons. I also enjoy traveling. I've been to Europe three times as well as a few places in the U.S., Cuba, Mexico, and Jamaica. I'm hoping to get down to South America to Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, etc. I would love to go boarding and mountain biking down there. I am committed to my career but I also like to go out and have fun. An ideal weekend would involve heading to the mountains for boarding or hiking/biking in the summer and then hitting the hot tub afterwards with a beer. Camping with friends is always a good time. I also enjoy laying low and watching a movie or cooking a great meal for someone special. I love to cook!

I think that as important as it is for a couple to have common interests, I also think its important for one to maintain their individual interests and spend time with their own friends. A guy who has no friends or hobbies may not be the guy for me. I do nerdy crafts with my girlfriends on a monthly basis, and go out dancing with my girlfriends on occassion as well.
I have two boys, and they mean the world to me. I have shared custody on a weekly rotation. I do not have a specific timeline for someone special to meet my boys, but I'm definitely not in a rush.
