Date men from Canada / Ontario / East York, 46 year old

Date someone special from East York, Canada. Seeking a terrific lady in the heart of the City; the suburbs are likely too far.
About me? Well, I'm a big, strong guy and I'm often asked if I played football or rugby--the big shoulders, I guess--but I played hockey (goalie) and I'm afraid I am a Habs fan as I was born in Montreal; some things just cannot be changed.
Mind you, soccer has been my passion since I started coaching my youngest and then took up the sport up myself a few years ago. Yep, still a goalie.
I did martial arts for a number of years as well, kendo if you know it. In any case I’d rather do sports than watch them, though have time for major deals, like the World Jrs or the World Cup.
At the same time I read a great deal, am kinda brainy, and my parents tried to instill me with a semblance of good manners. I've been told I have a good sense of humour and should do stand up--no thanks--though I bet I can make you laugh.
I'm a dad to two great boys, 23 and 15 respectively, who want me out of the house.
I have a wide variety of interests and hope to meet someone with a similar outlook, a woman who might want to do something sporty one day and go to a gallery opening the next. Of course you'll have interests that will be new to me and I'm looking forward to that.
Being half Scottish I have an affinity for all things British. So I like tea and porridge and Monthy Python and BBC shows, celebrate Scotland’s fitba team though they always just fail to qualify, and love the Brit new wave groups of the 1980’s and think a Scottish accent is perfectly acceptable for romance (though the chances of being misunderstood are greatly increased). I do not, however, have British teeth.
I tend to be attracted to women who are the physical opposite of me, sure, but I am not going to list an exhaustive litany of 'must haves' traits--no one can live up to those things.
That said, do you have good brain? Like to read? Like to talk? Have an opinion? Well, there you go.
So drop me a line if you like and maybe the safe coffee/tea/latte thing can happen.

Meet a man from East York, Canada. I am optimistic about this as I am new to it, although very little is written in my profile, should make you think there's a hidden reason to contact me and get to know all those little things that matter the most.
I am interested in getting to know you through conversation and just plain old conversation. Getting to know the person you are, how you like your coffee, how you see the world would interest me!
