My grandparents are not well so i do as much as possible to help them on their farm. My family has grown up on and still live on farms and so i have grown accustom and enjot country life. You may be wondering why a nice guy is still single at my age? Well I will tell you!
I am a man who enjoys the simple things in life. I am content with what I have in my life (well mainly... still missing the sweetheart lol) I do not need to out and buy the biggest and best electronics, or vehicles. I have a good attention to detail. I am not a perfectionist, but I do get enjoyment from a well completed task. I do like to get things done as soon as possible. I am definitely not a procrastinator.
In my spare time, when I am not teaching, I enjoy getting outside into the nature. My absolute favorite activity is getting into the mountains and hiking. I have scrambled up Mt Temple twice now and am itching to do it again. When I am not in the mountains, I enjoy getting on my mountain bike and touring on the trails and going off road. Rollerblading is also an activity I enjoy. I can spend a whole afternoon on the blades. In the winter, I also enjoy skating and downhill skiing. I also like to run, however, my knee prevents me from doing it as much as I would like to. Something else that I have done, which I havn’t had a chance to do lately is ballroom dance, due to the fact that I have been away from Edmonton. I really enjoyed it, As I competed and was a TA for the University of Alberta Club.
In my summers for the past 7 years, I have spent a good month involved with the Edmonton Folk fest. I have been on the site crew, which is responsible for setting up and tearing down the facilities for the festival which runs the Thursday-Sunday after the long weekend in August. This is my time to relax, even though I am working hard in the hot summer sun, or the rain! I really love it down there.
I love teaching, especially the sciences. I find myself constantly trying to learn more about the sciences and when I am watching tv, it is the documentaries that I find myself watching most often. Discovery channel is a blessing! This mainly the reason I am still single. I have spent the better part of the past decade away from the Edmonton area pursuing my teaching career, accepting a maternity contract here and a temporary contract there. Because most of these contracts were only for a year or two and mostly in small towns, the ability to meet people, and mainly, that special someone was quite difficult.
Now that I am back in the Edmonton area, it is time to look again. And I sure hope that she is out there, because this nice guy is waiting for her!
