I have 3 great kids (one who still lives 1/2 time with me) and a son in law who are very important to me. I would describe myself as an adventurous positive family oriented woman who happens to be educated, motivated, caring and fun loving; (What a mouthful) One who loves to laugh....often at herself. One who likes order yet loves surprises... especially accompanied by red liquorice!
I thought life was busy when I had my own business.... now I`m discovering life can be even fuller now that I have more `me time`...new hobbies (carving and painting), new projects (building a rock patio for the boat and refinishing dining room set). I`m a DIY-er, especially now that I have the time! I`ve learned you can do anything by googling ...And learning keeps us young so I changed the battery in my vehicle and installed a new dishwasher! ...my sense of independence is satisfied for now.
Life is full and I enjoy being active, swimming, walking the dog, hiking, camping, boating....I love water and heat....separate or together. I have enjoyed backpacking on the west coast but recently have discovered kayaking hurts less! I enjoy a 5 star all inclusive....and I can wear heels....(Though my feet love my UGGS)
So why am I on this site?
I'm pretty normal and down to earth. I want to share and create experiences with that one special guy who thinks I'm just as special. I'm looking for someone who is intuitive, energetic, grounded, respectful, motivated, educated, assertive, stimulating, progressive, caring, persistent, humorous, encouraging, inspiring, inventive, communicative, passionate...someone who doesn't sweat the small stuff, one who understands family values, children and dogs, who takes pleasure in the simple things like the first sip of a coffee in the morning (or orange juice...whatever the preference.)
Really I'm looking to find someone who's real... wants to cook supper together, sit around a campfire and yak..or sing, hold hands and walk the dog, pack a picnic and go for a drive, take the boat out and explore, dance in the kitchen or on a beach, go for a hike for the day or weekend, play cards...(and let me win), complete a project together ... I could go on and on... ideas are endless as are dreams...but all is better or enriched when sharing with another.

I am a typical Cape Bretoner who moved back here 3 years ago after living in Ontario for 30 years with my family and to raise my children. I try to live each day as if it is my last.
