I consider myself to be a very fortunate person in many ways. I wake up happy and try to spend my whole day like that. So, while Plan A would be to live the rest of my life in a great relationship, I do enjoy my own company, along with the company of good friends, family and many acquaintances. I don’t believe in finding someone to “complete” me – I would like to think of a relationship as being a one plus one equals two scenario, rather than combining two halves to make a whole. I am also not looking for the soulmate in a minute recipie, and as much fun as that instant chemistry can be, it can also be a bit dangerous...ok, fun, but dangerous too :)
I enjoy many things. I have been an avid golfer in the past and could easily be one again. I manage to play golf every year just enough to keep my swing honed, and there is nothing finer than stepping up to that first tee, after months away, and nailing it down the fairway...yeah! Fairview Mountain in Oliver is my favorite course in the South Okanagan. Once upon a time, I played tons of squash, various sports and even duplicate bridge. I am open to many things, except sky diving, and look forward to the new things a new relationship might expose me to, as I hope you would be too. Nature is my bliss, so hiking, walking, kayaking, biking, bird watching, cloud watching, snorkelling, ocean beaches, and yes salmon fishing, are all on my list of things that I do. I have done much more travelling in the last few years and am always amazed at how much I have enjoyed my travels – from road trips to overseas adventures. Travel, like most things in life, is best when shared.
For me, a relationship needs to have lots of humor...at this point in life, isn’t it mostly about having fun and being around people who make you laugh and feel good? Actually, shouldn't it have always been that way? :) However, I am also up for interesting and challenging conversation – of which there is no shortage of with those I “click” with. I have to say that one of my favorite traits in people is being a good loser...seriously, it says so much about ones character to be able to lose with style, a bit of humor and grace...not that anyone likes to lose...but hopefully you know what I mean.
How you treat others is as important to me as how you treat me....why, because eventually that is what is coming my way. I love kind people. In a relationship, I believe that if you have comfort, intimacy, friendship and longing....you are probably heading in the right direction! Trust, well that really is a non-starter, isn't it? If you don't have trust, why bother with the rest of it? I am old fashioned when it comes to relationships - one man, one woman.

In the past 3 years I've had some excellent adventures traveling accross Canada as far as Halifax Nova Scotia. Mexico, Mazatland, Puorto Rico, Palm Springs, Europe, France, Paris, Holland, Germany, Belgium, California, It's really inspired me to get out and see a lot more of the world. I'm hoping to check out Italy, Spain, Greece, and Egypt next.

Hi there, I am back in the country...thought I would update this part, I spent a month in "Italy" 17 days riding my bike, "yes peddle " I can't even begin to write how beutiful it was...what a way to see Italy. Some days I would ride 110k taking in all of the country side. The sea is also breath taking....
