I am told I am a great catch and "not like most men " and so on ....yea ok well perception is everything. I understand everyone has baggage and thats natural as long as it doesnt rule your life . I am not a jealous person at all I have to understand that if someone has guy friends its a 2 way street and I have women friends so ...no biggie . I like to include many friends at what am I am doing ... the lake , fishing , going out but yet LOVE staying in and watching a movie or just spending time alone cuddling up in bed or on the couch . We all have pasts and its understanding them that gets you through today ...because at one point in time they were the "right thing to do " and it made us stronger people ...I am NOT a drug user at all , have nothing to do with them or anyone that does ...I have a son so I have to lead by example .Sometimes I am very honest to a fault , and some call it blunt ...but better that then have millions of secrets or lie to someone and show mistrust or betrayal .Respect for other people that matter in my life is huge too ...and communication ... thats right I'm a guy and I said respect and communication (no this is not a joke)....I was raised by a strong single mother so I learned that women are to be respected and treated well . I was born and raised in British Columbia but spent a good deal of time living in Alberta prior to moving to Winnipeg with work a little over 4 years ago. I like Winnipeg. The people here are great, and the city is really starting to grow on me. That said, I don't really know that many people locally aside from a small group of friends and people I know through work so I thought I would try this out as a means of meeting someone I otherwise wouldn't.
Most of my interests are listed here on my profile so I'm not going to get too much into all that here. I am into much more than just offshore fishing...those just happen to be some of the only recent pics I have right now! I agree that part of getting to know someone is learning about them, I just much prefer doing that in person. Perhaps I'm a bit old fashioned that way?
