Most of my friends tell me they don't think I will find a guy in Winnipeg because I seem to belong somewhere bigger. I'm cultured, well-traveled, creative and eccentric so it is difficult for me to meet people I have things in common with when most people just want to go to the lake every weekend and drink beer and play with their dog and talk about their muscles, I am more interested in doing something different or insightful every day, and traveling to places I have never been before while conversing about all things amusing or interesting and making sure that i am being as clever and witty as possible every step of the way.
I am in a strange corner of the fashion industry so I am the first to admit that a superficial thing like having ones own style means a lot to me. The same way that some girls like big muscles or money, contrary to those, i am attracted to people who have a sense of individuality and adventure where appearances are concerned, which I find very often reflects the same type of personality.
I guess it would be nice to find a guy who is free to travel and not held fast to Winnipeg, as I have traveled quite a bit and feel my destiny is elsewhere. That being so, I am very very close with my family, so wherever my career takes me, I plan keep a residence and travel back to Winnipeg often to see them. Since I am self-employed I am constantly plotting ways to travel more with my job and intend to achieve it in the next few years.
In conclusion, I don't require all of these qualities from a person just to meet or hang out. It is usually interesting enough to just come across likeminded souls and gain inspiration from their ideas, even if it doesn't turn out to be some deep meaningful relationship. However, it would of course be nice if it did !
Also it would be fair to make clear that I have been a vegetarian for 17 years and although I am not preachy about or really talk about it much, I don't like it when the guy I am dating eats meat around me. I don't care what anyone eats when I am not planning on getting near them but for me it is a big turn off to watch a guy who is hoping to get his face near my face eat burgers and chickens and bacon. I accept that most people want to eat what they want where they want but it does't mean I am going to let them get close to me after. They can go make out with somebody who also smells like beef jerky and I'm sure they will be very happy together. Heh
. A little about me: I'm a successful, smart, witty, honest woman, with a big heart and a drama-free life. I take pride in what I've accomplished and continue to strive for more. I clean up nicely, but also enjoy hanging out in comfy clothes watching a movie, a Bomber game, a Jets game or just relaxing with a drink around a fire. Spending time with friends and family is really important to me, my 4 year old daughter being the center of my world. I enjoy going for walks, spending a day at the beach, relaxing at the cabin, going out for dinner or drinks, playing a round of mini golf or any type of board game (a little competitive by nature ;))... anything really. It's not so much about what I'm doing, but more who I'm with. Nothing better than having fun and laughing with the people you are closest to.

. I am a graphic web designer gone IT. Right now I'm taking an IT course. I am looking for a guy who is younger than me because I want someone who has never been married to enjoy life with.
