Date men and women from Ontario, Canada. I'm a confident and independent man looking to spend quality time with the right woman. Nothing too serious yet. I'll be straight up, I'm recently widowed and been through a very tough time. One of the things I have come away with is that I have a pretty good idea what is important in life. Everything else is what I refer to as chicken $#it. I don't have time for it and I avoid people that create it and negativity. There may have been a time when I was getting jaded but that has evaporated from my mindset.
Friends for now is fine with benefits could be good but that is a mutual thing and there is no pressure for now. Chemistry will determine that. My eventual goal is to have a lasting relationship. Just looking to go out and have fun together at the moment, dine dance etc. I'm a bit out of shape currently from some forced inactivety so I'd like to get out dancing and as much as I do like going out for an evening of fun etc. I can be happy being a homebody too. Family is important to me and I consider myself with traditional values but I'm not a "square" LOL! Born in Newcastle upon Tyne England to Scots/Irish blood but raised here so don't expect a Geordie accent unless I put one on!
Learning to play the guitar to stop my brain from atrophying... I may be too late!;^) I have a fast and loud old red Mustang I tear around in for fun too. My friends would say I'm very loyal and I try to live my life with sense of integrity despite our modern lifestyles propensity to thwart that. I'm in the computer world but am not a propellerhead in fact I revel in being rather anachronistic. I can be quirky but in a fun way. I'd like to say that I'm kind, considerate, caring and thoughtful and I consider myself a gentleman.
I'm looking for an intelligent woman that likes finer things but still wants to have fun. Books, wine, good music and movies, good friends and conversation etc. Someone that can start and carry on a decent conversation. Attractiveness is a lot more about attitude and the best sex organ is often your brain. I'd like to meet someone who can also take me to places I've never been to literally, physically and metaphorically. I'm open to new things and places. Someone that might like to just get in the car with me and drive around and see where we end up.
I live in the country on 10 acres with a dog and cats and chickens and work in Toronto so I do have responsibilties and time constraints as we all do and grandchildren that I go to soccer etc. for but I'd like to get back out there to start my new life. I like working on my house and cars although they have not been the highest priority for the past year as we battled with my wife's cancer.

Not sure if I've got it all in there! Any question you know where I am. Oh forgot an important one... I have sense of humour, from a basic joke, prank, wisecrack right up to the absurd and downright silly. I can certainly laugh at me better than anyone also; I mean look at me in that cowboy outfit! Oh and I ALWAYS put the seat down ;^)
