I have been described as rough around the edges but with a good heart and I can tend to be a little bit reserved around new people and new situations. I think I'm a pretty good catch, but there may be some bias there. Im always looking for an adventure, and would love someone to share it with. I will attempt to use the following story to analogize how I live:
A few months ago I was at the gym, in the locker room, getting my gear on before what was suppose to be an inspired workout. I set my ipod down on the bench next to me, which I would later pinpoint to be a fatal error. I began to tie my shoes, something I regularly did since graduating from velcro, when a naked, sweaty man sat down next to me and right on my ipod ear buds. I looked in shock as he stood up, to find one of my ear buds still stuck to his sweaty gluteus maximus (emphasis on the maximus).
Sometimes life hands you a lemon, so you make lemonade. But what happens when it hands you an earbud with sweat from another man's but? I refuse to drink that! I decided to use one of my best qualities - generosity and resourcefulness. And, my friend won't stop thanking me for the 'new' pair of earbuds I gave him.
Some qualities that turn my crank:
1) I am attracted to women who are intellectually curious and passionate. I love trading newly learned facts, especially if they have to do with biology, evolution, nature, history, health.
2) Equally as sexy = funny/witty women. I consider myself moderately funny, but I'm by no means a one man show. I need a partner in crime, someone who will laugh at my jokes when nobody else does, and vice versa.
3) A woman who leads an active lifestyle, loves the outdoors, and is physically fit.
4) Anything else would be icing on the cake, but if you're also a movie buff, aspire to travel the world and experience different cultures, and love food....we'll get along famously.

I think everyone has a movie that they love so much, it actually becomes stressful to watch it with other people. I'll end up wasting 90 minutes shiftily glancing around to confirm that everyone's laughing at the right parts, then making sure I laugh just a little bit harder (and a millisecond earlier) to prove that I'm still the only one who really, really gets it.
There is a great need for sarcasm font.
I would rather try to carry 10 plastic grocery bags in each hand than take 2 trips to bring my groceries in.
The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm trying to finish a text.
Lol has gone from meaning, "laugh out loud" to "I have nothing else to say".
My brother's Municipal League baseball team is named the Stepdads. Seeing as none of the guys on the team are actual stepdads, I inquired about the name. He explained, "Cuz we beat you, and you hate us." Classy, bro.
If you didn't find anything from the above funny, then we probably won't be very good friends.
On a more serious note, the last few months have been very busy for me, I started up my own business, and I started a new career. You can imagine that my free time is limited, so I'd like to meet someone who I can make laugh.

I'm 27, and back to Kitchener/Waterloo after spending the last eight months in Sudbury, where I had been studying and finishing a clinical placement at Health Science North. I love to travel, I've found it makes me deeply happy in a way few other things can. I do spend a lot of time on my studies, I'm in a medical field, and I've so far been very successful. I'm still committed to finding time for things I enjoy, like spending time with friends, cooking, and making plans for my next travel destination - something I often find myself daydreaming about!
My friends know better than anybody that I have a great sense of humour. I'm often told I see things in a cynically funny way. I've never done the on-line thing, I prefer in-person encounters, but I'm trying this on the insistence of some of my female friends...I'm looking for a good-hearted, adventurous, honest girl who doesn't take herself too seriously. I'm a great cook, I've taken a lot of classes in Thailand while staying for a year to teach English to locals. I also took a lot of massage classes, rendering me into a massage master, with the nimble hands of a well-seasoned medieval minstrel!

I'm currently a high school teacher but I've accepted an offer to go to Osgoode. The prospect of going to law school terrifies and excites me at the same time. I love a good challenge and Iaw school is a great opportunity to really test myself.
I'd say that I derive a lot of inspiration and personality from my family. They've been an incredible role model to me my whole life and I seek to be with people that are like them. Basically hard working/fun loving/silly people (I really should emphasize the silly here).
I love to go out and do anything new. I've lived in England for two years and Switzerland for 6 hoping to one day go to Japan or China for some time. I'm a fan of adrenaline filled activities like bungee jumping or sky diving and wish I could do more (I absolutely LOVE roller coasters). Other than that I love going out to see shows or classical concerts, something I don't do nearly enough of.
When its all said and done I'm looking for a girl that I can learn from. She would have to be interested in much of what the world as to offer and expose me to things I've never known before. It also wouldn't hurt if she laughed at my random sense of humour ;)
