I am very laid-back and open to trying new things, love camping (but not the roughin it kind lol), sitting by a fire is one of the most relaxing things i can think of, like to travel, love to cook. I like playing most sports and being active yet i also read a lot and don't mind loafing on the couch with a good movie on. Being a Gemini i must have the intersts of two people lol it seems. I have a number of good friends i lean on and who's company i love as well as i believe your friends indicate a lot about yourself as well (that could should me in the foot though).

I am a 44 year old Information Technology Management professional with 3 children. My children are the most important things in my life. I have lived a full and (IMHO) exciting 'first half' of my life. I'm just as thrilled about the 'second half'!
I'm originally from Vancouver. I moved to Hamilton 5 years ago with my kids and my ex with the greatest of expectations. Unfortunately, it did not work out. Half of my family lives in the Vancouver area and they are a great group! I talk with my parents nearly every day. I miss them lots. The other half of my family lives Downunder. Most I have not met but I do keep in contact with them on Facebook and Skype. I love their accents! I have recently researched my family tree and, well, I have a big family. Although I don't have family here in Hamilton (except for my two girls) family is very important to me.
My youngest daughter is 6 years old. I love her to bits! I have her with me 25% of the time. I have an 18 year old daughter who has just recently moved out and will be going to University next year. I also have a 17 year old son who lives in Vancouver and also will be going to University next year.
I think of myself as honest, loyal, witty, ambitious, driven and compassionate. I am introspective, intuitive, thoughtful, romantic and sentimental. I only date one woman at a time as I put all my efforts and trust into that relationship. I love spontaneity, but I am also well grounded. 'I know when to go out and I know when to stay in'. Ok, that was a David Bowie quote. Ha! I have a wide variety of interests. Some of my favorite interests include music, movies, sports, trivia and computers. My profession is IT so I am a bit of a techie but I work on the customer service/technical support side so I can actually 'talk' to people. :)
My favorite sport is hockey. Being from Vancouver I am a diehard Canucks fan. Although this area is sprinkled with Toronto, Montreal and Detroit fans I hope you can look beyond my Vancouver bias. If you have a favorite team I will gladly support your team (If you have one!) if you can find it in you to cheer for the Canucks. ***Disclaimer*** If you are a Leaf fan I may need some counseling to help in this area! :) Although I love watching my Canucks I would gladly turn off the game to spend time with my partner. Ok, playoffs not included! :) Hopefully, you would be right beside me anyways! I believe I have my priorities in order.
I've been in a few great relationships since my divorce but I have dated long distance. This just doesn't work for me. Although those relationships ended, I can still call them friends.
So what am I looking for? I hope point form is acceptable.
-You must live in or close to Hamilton. As my youngest daughter is 6 I will be living in Hamilton for the foreseeable future.
-I would prefer that you have children. Younger or older. I find knowing first hand about kids with my partner is important for me in a relationship. But, it's not a relationship stopper. I’m not looking for a mother for my kids as they have one.
-I am looking for a woman that is open to a long term relationship. Obviously that doesn’t always happen but I’m not looking to �just date’. Dating is important to get to know someone but if that’s all your looking for… Well, that’s not me.
I love to cook! I love using fresh ingredients. I have many different tastes in foods. I can even make hollandaise from scratch. :) Ok, so I've never cooked a Turkey before but I can carve one like Martha Stewart and I've never done any insider trading! Voila!
I would love to find my best friend/soulmate. Too much to ask? However, something close with a desire to work towards it is what I ask. Communication is key to the relationship that I am looking for.

About traveling, yes, is in my agenda every year, it does not have to be overseas all the time, could be in our great country Canada, love to drive for long distance, the time I was in Calgary, I drove 3 days to get there, it was a super experience, i would do it again.
Meet a soulmate from Canada. My friends would say that i have a very unique sense of humour. It may have taken them a bit to understand it but once they did they could not stop laughing. So the samething could be said about a new relationship. Getting to know some one can be very rewarding. I have 3 nephews who i absolutley adore. Its amazing with technology these days they communicate with me through texting and social media. This is ok since they live an hours drive from me. But it is always better to visit and speak to them and play with them in person. So what if they call me a Turkey, it makes me laugh. Family is very important to me. I would anything for my family. So basically what i am saying is that i am a good Uncle, a very caring person, a good listener, i like to make people laugh. I hope that i can find someone with similar values.
