Date men from Canada / Ontario, 62 year old - page 5

Date someone special from Ontario, Canada. I'm casual and laid back by nature. I enjoy dancing and romancing, cycling for exercise and adventure. I tend be to numbers orientated so I enjoy the stock market, coin collecting but I'm not thoroughly dull, I do enjoy live music, dinner parties and stimulating conversation. My lady will be easy to get along, active and share many of my interests.

Meet a man from Ontario, Canada. I am constantly told that I look younger than my age, but I think that age is just another number (how old would you think you were if you didn't know how old you are?) and I'm fit, definitely young at heart and have a good sense of humour, hopefully as will my match - that is so important in a lasting relationship!
I love to cook and entertain at home with good friends, good food and wine, love my garden and to hike, ski, snowshoe, cottage, camp - Algonquin, Silent Lake, Grundy; being/ living near water, scuba diving, ethnic foods, love travel and other cultures - the world is a big place, all for us to discover.
I like cars and motorcycles, animals, especially cats and dogs, the outdoors and nature - thunderstorms! - but appreciate what a big city has to offer too - I really enjoy museums, art galleries, the performing arts and just the feel of the city.
I'm very handy around the house, make art (wire sculpture, stained glass), love gardening; I'm very active but love my morning coffee and newspaper beside my little pond and waterfall.
I'm affectionate, easy-going, down to earth, spontaneous and like to laugh and have fun and try to see the positive side of people and situations.
I enjoy concerts and good live and recorded music - anything from rock to jazz, blues and classical and everything in-between as long as it's good music.
Don't normally like to use the word "I" this much...
Looking for a life partner, not a one night stand - a kind, sincere, confidant, affectionate lady to share my life and my interests with as well as hers, someone I can learn from, my best friend, a straight shooter not afraid to speak her mind, honest, respectful and respectable, ethical, rational, flexible, no games or "issues". I know you're out there!
Life is short, let's enjoy and celebrate it!

Meet a soulmate from Ontario, Canada. I am a quiet person and a deep thinker who enjoys the outdoors. Sunshine makes me smile. I am thankful for my health. I hope to attract someone who enjoys one on one time as well as alone time. Both are important. Home is important. My ideal match would be someone who is even tempered and understanding and knows what is important in life. They must have a good sense of humor.

Date single man from Canada. I'm a journalist who works for several of the country's largest newspapers. I'm not much of a cook, and I like to travel. I've been around the world, vacationing and writing travel stories for newspapers and magazines over the past 35 years, and I plan to continue doing so.
I'd like someone who also likes to travel and explore. Someone who writes or likes to write, and would also be interested in writing travel stories. That way, we could both take the trips together. Otherwise, I have to go off on my own, and I'm tired of that.
Life is too short to settle down at this point.
I like to share my books, DVDs, my table and my thoughts.
I'm grateful for the loving relationship I have with my daughter and my two grandchildren.
I am still good friends with my ex-wife and her husband and his family.
Life is also too short to hold grudges or to shut people out. I'm not one for noisy bars, but I like fine dining. (I've done restaurant reviews for newspapers in the past as well.)
I'm hoping to attract an intelligent, slim woman with a sense of humour. I don't have much patience with someone who is overly religious or has hang-ups about their bodies. Be comfortable in your skin.
I'm also not interested in someone who wants to control her man, who thinks he can be remade to suit her ideals. I won't do that to her, and she shouldn't do that to me.
One of my great interests is astronomy, and I have binoculars and a big telescope. If you like spending evenings out under the stars, I'd love to show you what the universe has in store.
I'm looking for a lover, not just a companion. Let's have fun and explore all aspects of life and living in this third act.

Meet a soulmate from Canada. I'm tall, slim, not bad looking I guess and still have all my own hair. It's hard to say what I'm looking for but I know it's not a mother or a boss. She does have to be very feminine and self confident.

. i am not one to tell the world what i am or who i talk to or where i go i consider that something we share together not with the world with all that is going on today we have to keep some things personel dont you think

. I am a down-to-earth, self-motivated and inquisitive communicator and man of thought and action who has lived a full life with the aim of making a contribution, however modest, to the forward progress of society and humanity. A friend once kindly said that I had the wisdom of an elder, the body of a middle-aged man and the heart of a youth. Its also said I don’t look or act my age, have a Maritimes' sense of humour, am laid back and easy-going. I am a low maintenance guy comfortable, as they say, in his own skin.
I do apologize for the lack of recent digital photos (not my preoccupation), and the brown hair has some grey. There’s some snow on the roof but a lot of fire left in the stove! I love to converse but am not much for idle chit chat and do not suffer fools gladly. I have patience, compassion and passion, and respect for all.
I do work hard but I’m lucky enough to consider what I do as neither “work” nor the giving up of leisure time. I haven’t had a 9-5 job since I was 22 and march to the beat of a different drummer. I am an investigative journalist, publisher and historian, and have also been a professional graphic designer, with a client list that ranged from real estate companies and banks to sport federations and environmental NGOs, as well as a book designer and author. I was a semi-pro athlete and canoe guide as a young man and have been active n several sports and the outdoors over the past 25 years as participant, official, coach, executive and publisher.
Along with film, libraries, museums and serendipity, abiding interests include history, cultural and world affairs, especially sorting out puzzles as to why things happened historically or are happening, and contributing to enlightenment. I love to take the back roads or paddle meandering streams. I have great friends and family and they help provide the compass and anchor of my life, helping me to navigate and avoid the rocks. I am a full-blooded Canadian with an abiding respect for the accomplishments of all peoples, such that I wish I was conversant in more languages than English and pidgin French. I take active stands against what is wrong in society and the world and support the oppressed. I believe that our own country and society is at a turning point.
I think I would make an interesting partner and trustful companion with a kindred spirit to share life and grow old with -- an attractive, vibrant, tender lady of integrity who has also accomplished something with her life, be raising children, teaching, organizing, communicating, who values giving back to the community and society... One who is independent, not complacent or set in her ways and is open to new experiences, views and shared challenges and joys. Unlike match.com (“Like you, she’s interested in basketball!” -- “She’s also the oldest child!"), I don’t think a successful relationship is merely based on unanimity or similarity of views and interests. I welcome differences and diversity. "Speaking frank (honesty) cuts it with me,” is one of my mottos, together with "we’re never too told to learn new things." That journey together can begin with a conversation over coffee, a glass of wine, a walk or dinner.
Thanks kindly for reading and good luck to everyone.

I am a lapsed Freudian who thinks life is sometimes like a movie , but you have to bring the popcorn .
