I've backpacked through Europe and Asia, lived in Nicaragua and Costa Rica and Hawaii, been a college professor in business and engineering, started a dozen small businesses, I play piano and guitar and compose music for my classical piano trio, I want to learn more Spanish and French, I'm passionate about hiking and rock climbing and being in the wonder of creation, I love to dance and can swing and want to learn more salsa, I love good food, I love good food at good value even better, and I really, really care about my kids.
Though recently and tragically separated despite all my best efforts, I've been without the peace true love should offer for quite some time. I love my Family. I am an only child and me mum an pops made me the man I am today. If you get to know me you can thank then later. I have family overseas and I'm dying to head back. I have some of the best friends in the world. So good if fact that I would be hard pressed to pick a best man. I wear my heart is on my LEFT shoulder(yes I am a south paw). Most people can read me pretty easily and I can usually figure if you're someone I'm willing to spend time within a short period of time. The one thing that makes me unique is that I can laugh at myself. Its not that I aim to be the village idiot but rather the court jester. I have lots of hobbies. Most of which tend to be outdoors. I love skiing. Its like a right of passage. I've done it for years and will more than likely never give it up. I have dirtbike that tests my grip strength, a car that needs my time and care(restoration project)that will go and look beautiful and my Dog that can go everywhere with me. He's a hienz 57 but he's my dog(he loves ski touring with me too).
I have come to a point in my life where I know what I want, I know where I want to be and how I'm going to get there. This site only lets you share how long your longest relationship but I've had two serious relationships lasting over four years, I am the committed type when it come to someone I want to be with. I try to make time for my family as best as I can. My job has been a sacrifice over the last 4 years but I've put my time in and its finally coming into its own. I don't go out much anymore(I've had my share already) but a pub night or dinner out suits me just fine even though I eat better at home.
I like all sorts of music. I had a little stint where I Dj'ed for a bit(90's version of the wedding singer). I listen to country, blues, southern rock, hard rock, some top 40(I'll let you pick the radio station in the car) don't worry. However, I will need copious amounts of booze to partake dancing to polka(almost a coma). HA! Not that I drink lots but I do enjoy a good bevy with fam and friends.
If there are things I would like to have for the rest of my life like someone I can bring coffee to in bed, a child or children I can teach to ride a bike and try and explain the birds and the bees, give a son a pat on the back and/or give a daughters hand away. On a serious note. Like I said earlier I am only child in my family so its important to me to have a family. I don't by any means NEED one right now but I would eventually like too. Just someone to spend time with, maybe travel, do something silly. Who knows what will happen.
I've shared a lot and I would share more with you about me on here but then what would we talk about when we actually meet? Lets have an adventure. I have been basing myself out of Kamloops and I am working up in the North. The good news is that I have my transfer and I'm down in Vancover now and stoked!!!
