Date a soulmate from British Columbia, Canada. I love my job but leave it where it belongs after hours. Sorry to say that I can only cook the basics well in the kitchen. I would love to take cooking lessons (my mother was a terrible cook so I never learned from her). I really love the baby powder soft sand on a beach somewhere hot when vacationing. My passion is stained glass creation. I would like to find someone to cuddle up with and share life's juicy adventures with. My pet peeve is bad grammar. I have a great circle of friends and close family that I love to hang out with. Sushi is my favorite type of food. I think there is only one food that I dislike and that is eggplant. I have only tried it once but didn't like the bitterness. I'm not crazy about tent camping but if there is a comfortable bed.....I'm up for that. I don't lug along a hair dryer where I go and don't wear much makeup, if any. I like to dress up but I am most comfortable in jeans and tee shirt. I like to swim and walk or hike for exercise. I don't have any pets but love dogs. A ride on the back of a nice harley is one of the things on my bucket list (it's been a long time since I have done that and miss it). Date a woman from Canada. Who am I? Good question. I know who I was but now its a new phase and I am enjoying discovering who I am going to be when I grow up - again! I know a few basic things will remain the same: I love animals, value honesty, respect and kindness and I will not tolerate dishonesty or cruelty. A good sense of humor is extremely important as is compassion and empathy for others. I always keep the old adage "walk a mile......" in the back of my mind before I make a decision regarding someone's behavior or lifestyle. I am always sticking up for the underdog - can't help it - I detest a bully of any kind. I love to have fun, to laugh, to try new things and challenge myself. I don't like drama unless it's in a good book, play, or movie. When I can I love to dance (country or rock or whatever - I love music and have no prejudices when it comes to genre) travel (so many places I want to go) have adventures: getting lost in some new city or in an interesting discussion is a great day, meeting new people and learning something new. I have discovered that everyone has a story and if you take the time to ask and listen you can usually find something of value, interest and maybe a great tale and a good laugh. Maybe even a new friend. Volunteering has always been important to me. I continue to volunteer wih ESS as a first responder and Victim Services and hope to get involved in a mission here in the lower mainland. I believe that time and attention are the best gifts of all - however - unexpected flowers, especially orchids, with a small Starbucks small White Chocolate Mocha or Chai tea, well, that can really make any bad day a good day - just not too often! I am really very easy to please and NOT high maintenance. I take care of myself. Although I appreciate nice things, I do not require them to be happy, and if I want them I can get them for myself. To be happy I need to be able to completely trust those around me and have good and honest communication - communication is vital in relationships of all types, and you have to be able to make me laugh and smile every day! And if you are upset or bothered by something - I will know it and I will ask you about it and if you say "NOTHING" I will get very annoyed. Like I said - communication, honesty and straightforwardness make me a happy camper - even if it is a simple " yes I am bothered about something that happened at work today but I don't want to discuss it right now. '' That is all I need. Lie to me once - that is that
I love romance; I want to be swept off my feet. Long walks on a moonlit beach or a woodland trail, a horseback ride, picnics, weekend getaways dinners and dancing - I am up for almost anything especially if there is a romantic twist to it. But I also value the development of trust and friendship first. I want the man I end up with to be my best friend. I am loyal to a fault - not clingy but once you have my trust and friendship I will be your biggest defender in life.
I hope that describes me - a few blanks - but then that's what good coffee and conversation is for - filling in the blanks!? And making you sweat - wondering if the person you are going to meet will take one look at you and stand up and walk out as fast as they can!!!! But I would never do that to anyone - that is mean and I am not mean! But it is not like it was when we were teenagers. Oh well. No pain no gain - no risk, no kiss.! Later!
