Date a girl from East York, Canada. My home base is a small town called Waterford, near Toronto. I am currently a fly in doctor for the north. I am based out of a small hospital on an island that I get to by canoe taxi, helicopter, ice road, or skidoo taxi depending on the season. My contract lasts another 1.5 years but 9 of those months are saved up vacation time.
I am looking for someone to spend this vacation time with. Ideally it would ultimately turn into a long-term relationship. I love the outdoors and would like to do a long distance cycling trip across the States or Europe or Africa. I would also love to go backpacking in Australia or Europe or the Appalachian of Pacific Crest Trail. During the first two years of my life, my parents were nomadic cyclists who carried me, their belongings, and a tent on their bicycles across Europe and North America. I grew up camping, cycling, and hiking and I love being outside. A road trip across the states also would be a fun way to build a relationship. I'd love to do an outdoors with NOLS. I'd love to read National Geographic articles with somebody and daydream about all the neat places we could visit.
You could come visit up north. I have 2 kayaks and a canoe. There is a big river that is affected by the tides. We can paddle to a lot of beautiful deserted islands and sandy beaches. We can camp anywhere out there and have fires on the beach and watch brilliant stars and the Northern Lights. I love to paddle around the island over a couple of hours at sunset. The community is mostly Cree but there is a close-knit group of teachers and hospital staff that goes fishing, has bonfires, and has potlucks. Anybody with a degree in anything can supply teach there.
The nice thing about my job, is that I am needed just about anywhere for any amount of time. I've thought about
spending time working in so many places like a farming community, out west, BC, the territories, outback Australia, and in developing countries as a volunteer. I'd love to find somebody who would like to come with me to these places. I'm attracted to the more remote and wild places, where family doctors get to do a lot more than they could in the city...and where it only takes a few minutes to get out into nature.
I am the oldest of five children. My parents are very artistic teachers, previous hippies, and still quite active for a couple in their sixties. They have a house near Lake Erie and I like to visit them. I'd love to have kids one day and take them travelling with us.

I totally think that a guy has to act like a gentleman. I love simple things such as opening the car door for me, pulling the chair so I can sit up, etc. And I love when a guy leads the situation.
Another VERY VERY important thing: the truth, always, no matter what.
