I love listening/singing to music. I usually listen to the top 40. I enjoy going to concerts.

Meet a woman from Ontario, Canada. I'll try this from a friend's perspective. I tend to be more extrovert in public and quiet on my own time. I energize more by relaxing than always being on the go. I am not at all into clubs and bars and partying and boozing it up. I am not that person that always needs to be out doing something exciting but I'm generally open to new experiences, especially when I'm with someone that I enjoy spending time with.
I am warm and caring. I don't play games in relationships. I recognize when I need my independence and am honest - but in a kind way; I don't tend to take a crummy mood out on someone else. I certainly don't know everything about Canadian and world events but I take an interest and enjoy learning. I watch the news more often now...yikes! I am often okay with making mistakes around people unless they're mean about it. I am not a male-basher and will not sit around with girlfriends and trash-talk the special man in my life. I am respectful of my relationships and tend to be a loyal person. I can be quite opinionated but you don't always have to share that opinion. I've learned to be assertive and can stand up for myself and will stand up for others but I don't have a 'save the world' complex.
I'm polite and appreciate that in others. I don't scream and yell when I'm angry but I do like resolution and need to feel that my point is understood. I'm not a really fancy gal (low maintenance) and feel more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt. I have more of a witty, occasionally sarcastic but not scathing, sense of humour. I can be corny sometimes :0 I love to laugh and can be silly sometimes...especially with kids. I'm decently well-educated and appreciate proper grammar (sorry, I'm also a teacher ;) or someone who will make an effort.
I enjoy having my personal time and space. I've been mostly single so I probably can't just be in an instant, heavy relationship. I am not jealous, obsessive about my partner or needy nor do I want these qualities in a partner.
My parents have been married for 45 years and still really love each other and respect each other. I am so thankful for that kind of role model. I have brothers that I love and a beautiful niece that I adore. I enjoy family and see them each week but I am my own person and quite independent. The weight of tradition is not big in my family. My parents have never made us feel obligated to attend something just because it's always been done. Therefore, we usually just enjoy the times we get together and we're always welcome at my parents' house. I definitely enjoy family time but would find it hard to always have family around.
I think the thing that bothers me most about being single is that I have always wanted to experience the feeling of knowing I'm part of a team; a 'you and me against the world' thing where, at the end of the day, I know that I am the most important person in your life and you are the most important person in my life. It's a beautiful thing to know there is one person who truly does care if you have a great day or a rotten day and is willing to listen. I want the kind of relationship where we do little things just to make each other feel cared for, loved and appreciated. I think that is worth trying for.
