Date someone special from Woodlawn, Canada. I am new to this site. I didn’t think I would be here, but you have to deal the hand you are dealt. So here we go…
I am a ludite so I donРІР‚в„ўt own a home computer, cell, i-pod etc. I do own a flat screen tv, microwave and portable phone, so I am part of the 21st century.
I am from Ottawa, bilingual and come from a large family. I am independent, confident, organized, reliable, trustworthy, loyal, dedicated, realistic, financially responsible, forthright, fair and enjoy change and challenges. I have a strong work ethic and I admit when I am wrong. I avoid gossip and drama, preferring to pour my energy into something positive or constructive instead. I am pragmatic over compassionate (an undesirable family trait, but am working on it), and am more thoughtful than I am kind. I unwind with my dog, close friends, select tv shows and CBC radio. I do not care for a lavish lifestyle and donРІР‚в„ўt need nor want to be going out all the time; been there, done that. I enjoy reading on my deck in the summer or in front of my fireplace on winter nights with a glass of wine. A good cold beer after work doesnРІР‚в„ўt hurt either. I donРІР‚в„ўt enjoy cooking but will be the РІР‚?prepРІР‚в„ў girl (I dare not say I am a sous-chef). I try to maintain a somewhat reasonable healthy lifestyle by eating right, getting my sleep, practicing yoga and I do a lot of yard work.
Now for the wish list…I need someone with strength of character (a good measure of integrity, backbone, honourable values), is independent, responsible, sociable, honest, hard-working, patient, emotionally mature, and who is willing to travel if that is in the cards for us. Some one who is fun, funny, can laugh at himself, enjoys a good joke. It would be nice if you spoke French, played guitar, used hand tools, are nice to look at, have a dry, witty sense of humour, and are community-minded. I have no attraction to tattoos and body piercings, but hey, I’ve lived with them before. Yes, that’s a tall order but really, I don’t think that many people are without most of these features.
I need more play, love and sharing, and would welcome a man with children or grandchildren. I want to be in a healthy relationship and not just on the periphery of one. Ideally we have similar interests but different abilities, strengths, skills and personalities. Matching values speaks volumes to me in terms of the success of a relationship. I am truly not interested in dating but rather, want the relationship and am willing to invest much time and effort into the right one.
