Ladies? The perfect guy doesn't exist. The same way the perfect gal doesn't either. Stop looking for him, he's just someone made up in books and fairy tales. So try to get the next best thing.
So here's what I suggest. If something you read in this profile (or somebody else's, even) seems to be of appeal to you, well do not be afraid to actually engage in a conversation before dismissing it like an old napkin. While taking our sweet time trying to know each other, we might find out that the written profile was all just smokes and mirrors anyway.
My reality?
Out of an 8-year relationship (single for over a year now). All of this is well behind me and I'm ready to move on. I'm at the point where I'm looking for the company (friendship or more) of someone I could have fun with. I am now looking for chemistry with my future partner (or friend) first and foremost. Also, along with chemistry, COMMUNICATION is now an important priority. Yes ladies, that word was: COMMUNICATION. Wanna get to know me? Talk to me. Ask me anything and everything you want.
Let's just say I'm trying to regain faith and trust in "Love" (with a capital "L"), but I'm wondering if an on-line dating website is the true solution. One is too easily dismissed without having a fighting chance to prove his/her worth. I guess we're all disposable at the end of the day.

REMINDER: When you love someone it's for both his/her good AND bad sides. One would think it goes without saying, but I have this lingering feeling that this concept has been lost by the majority of the people.

I used to have a long list describing what I was looking for in a woman, but truthfully, that would be as hypocritical of me to not give a fighting chance to anyone who would show some interest. So all I ask is that you be yourself. You don't play games. You be honest and know how to communicate your needs, feelings and ideas. Once it's out in the open, we'll deal with it. Also, have a GREAT (I repeat: GREAT!!!) sense of humour and love to laugh. As for the rest, we'll always see if a mutual attraction can develop (intelligence an absolute prerequisite for attraction to happen) . I am very tall and athletic, so I do have a penchant for a woman with similar physical traits.
Being of European/Asian heritage, the fundamental values surrounding the concept of "Family" is very important to me. I intend to have kids in the future.

I am a simple guy with a good sense of humor and an optimist that is not afraid of challenges. What brings me on this website is the chance to meet a nice woman that I couldn't have met otherwise. I'm not looking for the perfect one but rather the one that knows how to love and wants to be loved. Born from a nice southshore family with good values, I am the lucky uncle of two beautiful nieces and an awesome nephew. Sports also have a big presence in my life as I work for a sports television chanel. My job is becoming a good career but I needed to make some sacrifices along the way to reach my current objectives. Sports is also part of my activities. I play ball hockey on a regular basis. I try to become less fan and more an active participant. I understand the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and therefore I also do other exercises like going to the gym, walking outdoor, swimming. However, I am far from an athlete, I wish I was one but I still have a lot of work to do :)
Besides sports, I love animals and nature. I try to protect them as much as I can and I won't hesitate to help an animal in trouble. I am concerned with the global warming, but not because of the temperature changes (I like having summer in March!), but more about its effect on the whole ecosystem. I also like to read a lot about sciences and what is going on around the world. I'll probably be the first one among my friends to learn if they discovered the Higgs bosons at the LHC lol. I can have great conversation on other subjects thought and can come up with good jokes to make it fun.
On "whats your weekend plans" subject, I often go out for a restaurants, I am not difficult. I like a good steak as much as sushis. Some of my friends are indians, so I learned to like that kind of food too :) I like to try new foods. If I go to a chinese restaurant, I would try to stay away from the General Tao chicken for something more unknown. My favorite kind of food would be italian thought. Having a coffee with some friends is a classic when we want a chill time. We also go out for movies, althought it happened less in the past year, I never say no to a good movie. My favorite genres are action, drama and science fictions. I like good comedies but not the scary movies kind of. Finally, I also do simple get togethers.
