I'm a student at the University of Alberta and I'm incredibly passionate about learning. I have this insatiable thirst for random facts and knowledge, and I'd love to find someone that can be wowed by the little things in life. If he's got a creative streak in absolutely anything (and that includes mashed potato sculpting and beer-can pyramiding!), I'd like to meet him. I'm pretty laid-back and patient, so it would be awesome to meet someone the same, but hey, as long as he's openminded alongside being uptight, that's a-ok with me too, haha. I'm generally pretty quiet, with a few close friends.
My family on my mother's side is extremely close. Family gatherings are the best part of the holidays, and my mom, my sister, and my cousins are some of my best friends. That sense of family, love, and closeness is extremely important to me, and I consider my closest friends part of the family, too!
My head gets caught up in the clouds a lot, but what good is it to chase dreams if the chase only lasts a couple of minutes or something? I still haven't decided what I want to do with my life, but while I figure that out, I'm going to be pursuing a pipedream on the side: working for a video game production company (especially BioWare, oh my yes).
I wouldn't call myself a gamer, necessarily; I'd call myself addicted to immersive stories and characters, especially in video games, though. Or games with lots of fun colours and silly characters, I'm easily entertained. I'd love to find someone who shares that same interest, not just in games but in movies, too. This also means that he'd better be up for bad-movie-marathons with my sister and cousins on occassion, events which are usually composed of seven-layer dip, sometimes booze, and usually movies like Human Centipede, Eraserhead, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, A Serbian Film, or any movie that makes you squirm for the sake of humanity (or the film industry). My friends, family, and I love horror movies (even when they're not immersive or deep) and kind of love being grossed out, too.
Learn, create, and share. Those are the three main goals in my life and seem to encompass every aspect of it, too. I'm just as happy spending a day wandering the city or museums or galleries as I am taking in a movie or relaxing at home. My ideal guy is clever and sweet, and maybe a little corny... bonus points if he's a romantic, too! I'm a little old-fashioned in that sense (chivalry makes my heart go aflutter, even if there aren't too many knights left hanging around).

I am an somewhat quiet young woman but I do break out of my shell and enjoy the life that was put out before me. I have lived in Canada all my life, born in raised in the same city and it does make me city girl but with a southern belle heart. I am kind of old fashioned in some sense, yes guys opening the door for a girl is a nice idea... yes we can open it ourselves but the thought is always nice. I was actually hit with this recession pretty hard, I went to college and was told while doing this course that this would be the one that would never be hit... clearly they lied. But I am enjoying the time off to just relax and work on things like the drivers license handbook, going out more, reading, and just getting to know myself better.
But you know I really don't like to hear myself talk all the time, I am actually a good listener. I would love to find someone who has a strong faith, enjoys traveling to all over the world, and wants to maybe find the right girl. A guy with a strong amibition, and enjoys living a healthy life style.
