I love to be busy and keep active. I make time for people though. People are always more important than things.
My favourite place to be is the beach the waves crashing is comforting to me. The sights and smells and texture of the sand make me feel alive. I love to try new restaurants and take day trips and explore the island. Thirft stores are fun to dig through on occasion. I love to get lost in a great book...put it in my hands and I will read it. I don't watch much TV but do love snuggling on the couch. Music makes my soul happy. Most sorts. But especially Blues, Jazz, and classic rock. (I think "classic" just means I am getting old)
I am very self aware and I do not want to spend time with someone who is not. You must know who you are and what you like. You can't be emotionally stunted. =/ We all have baggage but there comes a time you have to pack it up and put it in the overhead compartment and move on.
I am loving being in my 40s. There is a freedom in it that I am really enjoying. Perhaps it helps that I look a bit younger than my years. =)
I have kids as they are getting older I have more freedom to do what I like. I prefer dating men who have kids too as they get the demands on my time then. But I am not looking for a father figure for them. They have a Dad whom they spend time with regularly. If you don't like kids, I am not the chick for you.
I am curvy and would prefer to lose some weight. But I am not filled with self loathing over it I am pretty comfortable in my own skin. I am comfortable with my appearance. I take care with how I look but I am fine in a dress and heels or jeans and boots.
