I am a huge optimist, I try and look on the positive side of life. I am a little bit of a nerd because I like to go fishing in the summer, any activity that involves water makes me happy. I try and stay outside in the summer as long as possible and get very excited taking road trips to places I have never been. My favourite place to hang out in Toronto during the warm months is Ward's Island- it seems like you are in cottage country as soon as you step foot on the island.

I love to travel and every year I try and visit a new place- I have been to a lot of places all over the world including India. Ask me about waking up to seeing elephants eating my laundry if you want a funny story.

I have a very close relationship with my entire family. I can count on them for sound advice and support no matter what. One of my passions is my career. I am an Elementary School Teacher. At the moment I am teaching Grade 7 and 8 Math and Geography. I love waking up every day and doing what I love. To be able to teach students is very fulfilling, there is nothing greater than sharing life lessons and having students reflect on what I have taught them and put it into practice. To be able to reach that one student who sits at the back of the class who is reserved and shy and may not learn at the same pace as the others is the greatest achievement of all. I am also free lance make-up artist. I have been doing it for that last 8 years, it is a fantastic side job. Being able to make people look as beautiful as they feel is a rewarding feeling. I am a fun loving individual always up for an adventure. I like to roll with the punches and try new things. My friends are like my extended family, I have developed many of my closest relationships during my childhood and early adolescence. They challenge me to try new things and enrich my identity. I enjoy going to art galleries, concerts, going out for dinner, hitting up a bar, watching movies, weekends at the cottage, playing tennis in the spring/summer, cooking/baking, and sometimes even just curling up on the couch with a good book or just enjoying some relaxing time in front of the tv.
My closest friends would describe me a loyal, always there when I'm needed, generous, funny, a great cook and loud. I can laugh at myself, but can also be serious when need be.
I'm looking for someone who is going to make me laugh, allow me to be myself, treat me with respect, and challenge me to do things that I have never done. I want someone who is looking for a long term relationship who shares similar values.
