I once travelled with others singing at charity events. We performed at a Folk Festival and an event in Toronto. Our group (and there were many performers) was the chosen photo op’ placed in the Toronto Star. I remember my mother calling me in a state of hysteria, “You are on the front page of the Star!” she blurted enthusiastically. “Yes, Mom, but it’s the front page of the Sunday life section…big difference!” Gleaming at my mother’s pride, I could not wait to see the picture! I continue to love singing, always on the hunt for music opportunities. I sing and play guitar crooning out simple renditions of John Denver, Beatles tunes or Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.
Our generation seems not prepared for being single midlife…where do we meet people? So here we are…on a dating site because technology surrounds us. Life has taught us what we really need in a partner & we have earned the right to be choosy. I want to take my time to get to know someone to see if a spark can ignite a flame....
My Everyday Dream: Waking up next to you…spooned in your arms…morning kisses and coffee on the run. Contact during the day just to say, “Hey”…. and decide who is picking up coffee cream! Home together, we prepare and eat a delicious meal while sipping wine …chatting & laughing about our day. We savour our delectable creation and enjoy each other’s company. Time together, time apart, - enjoying the simple meaningful, humorous everyday things that life has to offer.
