When the water turns to ice, I trade my paddle for cross-country skis, skates or snowshoes. I enjoy walking and hiking at any time, yes, even in the rain. I love all animals; I had a dog for 17 years, and now have a cat who thinks she's a dog. I am financially independent, emotionally stable, and live a healthy lifestyle. I live near the canal, and walk or cycle to work year round. I own a car because I own a canoe; Algonquin Park is a long portage.
I believe age is a number. I feel, act, and I have been told I appear, much younger than my chronological age. I am shy and may appear reserved when I first meet you, but I open up once I get to know you. I find it much easier to meet someone while doing something active - so suggest a walk or skate along the canal .

Like me, it’s slightly used but ... it has some good wear yet. It has a few scrapes but no leaks. (Made of Kevlar, so it’s pretty resilient) It’s long and fairly sleek but just wide enough to not be too tippy. Sits nice in the water, you know. It's got a good keel – and it’s all about a good keel, I reckon’… for the currents. It’s a cheery colour too! I can manage it solo quite well, but it might be nice to have another canoeist, from time to time anyway.
I’m not sure a person could get as lucky as I have been, twice in one lifetime, but one never knows…
