I've read some very interesting and informative profiles in the few days I've been on here and it is time to flesh out mine, and tell you a bit about myself:
I am a vivacious communicator and love snappy reparte, so an intelligent, witty man is very attrative to me. My friends have described me as warm, affectionate, compassioate, very intelligent, down to earth, 'girly' and sexy (hey, they said it, and while I believe that sexiness is more of an attitude and way of being than it is about looks, what woman doesn't LOVE to hear that word applied to herself?!? So heck yeah, I'm claiming it!). Healthy living is very important to me and I exercise regularly (at least three times a week. Running and working out at the gym.) and prepare most of our food at home, with an emphasis on whole foods (grains, fruit, veggies..) and very little processed foods. I'm not rigid though, nor perfect, and have been known to have a big bowl of popcorn for supper, sprinkled with peanut mm's, and call it 'salad'. And I love LOVE my coffee. I tried to give it up once recently and my students requested, respectfully, would I start drinking it again please, and presented me with a steaming Starbucks vanilla latte- apparently I am not so cheerful, fun or chipper without my morning cofee(s) ;) My favorite beverage with popcorn is milk....supposedly this is weird. But hey, 98% of folk out there pour milk all over their corn flakes, corn pops, corn bran etc....see my point? :)
I am passionate about personal growth, communication, relationships, parenting well, and my faith.
I have two young daughters (grade 2 and kindergarten) who keep me hopping. They live with me full time and spend alternating weekends with their dad. A cautionary note: If you don't have children yourself you may find yourself frustrated with the many demands on a working single mother's time. Most days I am up by 6:30 am and don't actually get to rest or sit down again till about 8:30pm, at which time I sometimes need to do prep and marking for work.
