Which is interesting as I spent nearly 30 years of my working life in sales as a financial advisor. I am comfortable with the sensitive introvert label as it has served me well on this adventure called life. I recently finished the book
"Quiet:The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking" by Susan Cain and found that my classification applies to some interesting people. I certainly don't equate myself with van Gogh or Steve Jobs or Bill Gates but I attribute much of my success in life to the quiet contemplative approach.
I have been very fortunate through out my life in both my business career and personal life and feel my quiet introversion has allowed me to deal with the highs which were many and the losses which come to everyone. Retired at age 55 from 21 years with the same investment firm which at the time of my retirement was Canada's largest non bank owned firm. After retirement continued consulting in the investment business.
My odometer reads 70 but my biological clock I know is closer to 60 as my doctors have often confirmed.
I maintain a healthy life style, quit smoking 40 years ago, walk an hour each day, exercise-- mostly body weight type exercises but use weights and gym facilities on occasion.I am pretty much a non-drinker although do enjoy a good glass of red with a thick steak.
I 'm currently in scenic Northern B.C. with my oldest daughter from my second marriage and three wonderful grandchildren. I fortunately have access to great hiking, fishing and fresh mountain air. Reconnecting with her family after retiring in Mexico for the last 4 years.Will resettle somewhere in B.C. either Van. Island or mainland. Have another daughter living in Victoria. In no rush hoping to find the right partner for a life together.
My quiet introversion has lead me to a life long interest in photography. I have captured scenic South East Asia from Singapore to the mountains of Laos, the temple ruins of Angor Wat and the beaches and islands of Thailand. Having lived the last four years in Mexico gave me photo opportunities any photographer would dream about. I am a voracious reader both fiction and non fiction, my Kindle is my constant companion. Through a computer whiz friend, I have a library of nearly 3,000 books available for my Kindle enough for several more life times.
While living in Mexico I developed another hobby-- Mosaic Tables using Mexican televara tiles. I have managed to find a supplier of tiles here in Terrace and will continue this passion for mosaic art.
I have recently separated from a 14 year marriage partnership have dealt with and have no emotional baggage.
