I don't work regular hours and have every other weekend off. I enjoy movies, restaurants, pubs, cruises and just hanging out.

I admire people who are compassionate, sensitive and tolerant, as I feel these are important qualities in friends and think every good relationship should have a sound friendship as a foundation. I also enjoy creative and intellectual people and respect the opinions of others, even if they are different from my own. Although shy at first, I open up over time and eventually become an "open book" to those closest to me.
History has always fascinated me, and I love museums, living history villages, historical reinactments and so on. Sometimes it's as though one can hear the echoes of voices from the past just beyond the bustle of the present. I'm inspired by the perseverence and strength of those who have gone before. As "the world is too much with us, late and soon", I find the concept of voluntary simplicity attractive.
I have a very strong sense of family and respect this quality in others. My three daughters are in high school and university-I am proud of the talented and personable people they have become.
Enjoy live performances, whether dramatic or musical and being swept up in the energy of the event. My musical taste runs from classical and folk to rock and alternative, but "hurtin" country and rap take away my will to live.
Regular exercise is important and would like to aim for a stairclimb event at the CN tower-seems like an interesting challenge which usually benefits a worthy cause. Enjoy my local YMCA and Little Lake Park and walking trails in the area as well.
I love to try new things and believe that the only failure is not having tried. Have attempted some home repairs and do-it-yourself projects and managed to keep my fingers intact. I derive satisfaction from a job well done and also know that sometimes, we just need to relax and take it a little slower. It seems that nature is made for moments like this, and helps to remind us of the natural rhythym of the world.
Who I'm looking for: I would enjoy meeting someone who has similar interests and values, a man who is honest and secure in himself, a positive person who is addiction-free. I'm more partial to tall men, for obvious reasons. I believe in possibilites and feel the future is an adventure waiting to be explored. Am just getting my feet wet and moving forward slowly.

I am very ambitious, and I have a talent for creating beautiful interior and exterior designs. I am very independent and I love who I am, a strong person who loves to challenge herself and take pride in my work.
I cherish my time alone and am never bored or lonely as I love to read and go for long walks along the beach. Snowshoeing through the woods is a perfect winter morning, or in the summer, sitting on the deck bright and early with my coffee listening to the birds is one of the best feelings in the world. I am mostly vegetarian and I love to create new recipes and eat very healthy organic food. One of my main reasons for relocating was to enjoy a healthier lifestyle. I am grateful for my health and never take it for granted.
I am quiet but outgoing at the same time, and I do enjoy having interesting conversation. Socially, I can talk to anybody about anything and have a nice time. Striking up a conversation with a total stranger is one of my favorite things to do as I have travelled alone over the years and found it to be one of the best ways to have fun.
I look at finding a relationship as finding that needle in a haystack, that one person who is special. The kind of relationship that is cherished forever. I know there are fortunate couples out there that have found their life partner, and it is possible, so I will forge ahead until I find the one.

I enjoy preparing healthful foods and I exercise as often as time permits. My favourite thing to do lately is to take my bike onto the trails in the County forests It's a great workout for me and the dog gets a good run too. Once the snow returns (hard to think about that in the middle of this glorious summer), I'll have to choose a winter activity, and may consider snowshoeing. I've never done it seriously but I think it would be fun. Tennis is something else that would be not only enjoyable but a good workout.
I am very enthusiastic about life - I'm grateful for every day and try to make each day count. My family and friends are fun and supportive.
About the one I'm looking for...
You're nice and tall first of all, because I'm 5'11" (almost). You're like me in that you exercise to keep healthy . You care. By this I mean that you take an interest in the matters of the world, your life, and those around you. We can have stimulating conversation (baby steps - we'll gradually learn about each other and this will evolve naturally.) You're not afraid to have a difference of opinion. A sense of humour is very subjective; we'll find out soon enough if we're compatible. It's nice to have someone you can trust to lean on for support. I want to not only be that person, but want that person in my life. You're out there and I'm looking.....
