Over two decades, I have worked as a teacher, editor, writer, and school librarian. I have been employed, self-employed, and both. I am currently working as a writer of a teaching resource and a school librarian.
An adventurer and risk-taker, I love to travel and be in the outdoors. I am most at peace when I'm camping, canoeing, swimming, hiking, cycling, connecting with people, or exploring new places.

I might mention that my two daughters are actually grown adults now at 20 and 24 and so I am actually living a very "independent" life no which I really enjoy. Although one still lives at home, she is not around nearly enough!
I am most fortunate to love and be loved by a terrific circle of friends and family who claim to find me tolerably intelligent and witty. (I can say that because I asked several of those closest to me for their opinion today). When polled, the aforementioned characteristics were used to describe me. Of course, they did not hesitate to point out that at times I can be somewhat "blond" which, overall, amuses them to no end... I like to think that I manage to be self deprecating and accepting of this.
I strongly wish to do more traveling and would love to meet someone who feels the same way (Tuscany? Athens? Provence? Caribbean?)
I really enjoy my work (sales, so I schmooze and do lunch for a living... what's not to like?) and find balance with boxing classes and workouts, reading, GOLF (did I say that already?), patios or live music, cooking with a companion, some jazz and a big fat Cabernet!
