I am new to the on-line dating world so here it goes. I would like to start off by saying that I have been divorced for several years. I will admit that my main focus over the past several years was raising my child and building my career. So here I am, 47 years old, an empty nester and now taking a pause from the rat race and spending some time on me. It is an amazing experience! I am very fortunate to have a wonderful family and large and generous group of friends. I relocated to TO just over 2 years ago and although it was tough at first I am now loving it (except for the Leafs). I have had some terrific relationships over the past years, however, I need to be with someone who is very strong and comfortable with a partner having this same characteristic. By strong I don't mean controlling but rather confident and comfortable in their own skin. I love to laugh and enjoy making others laugh too. Date a soulmate from Canada. How do you answer that question....I am happy, easy going, I enjoy my life, my fiends, my family. I'm kind,caring, funny and a bit sarcastic, I like to think I know it all but really I'm fairly sure I know nothing because every time you think you have life figured out, well there it goes getting in your face. I try to remember that "there but for the grace of god go I" but I can't say I always achieve that altruism. I always look for the positive even when I am being cynical and I do believe a life unexamined is not worth living. I guess that means I question life but I don't expect to always get the answer....at least today.
Hmmm....looking for integrity. That kind of sums up all things really. If you have a sense of integrity then I think you probably march to the right drummer. Honesty, everyone says that, I think that's about owning your own "stuff" and not taking on someone else's, but still being kind about that. Be present and loving. Can't stand arrogance but love someone with a good sense of self. I think being truly self confident means you enjoy other people and accept that we are all only who we are.
