I came out here from Quebec a few years ago to hike the West Coast trail and I never left. I love mountain biking, surfing skiing and traveling. Because I'm a teacher, I get great holidays to play and see the world. I believe that each day is important and following your dreams is the key to happiness.
I love positive people, powder, muddy bike rides and good food. I'm looking for someone who likes to live large and play outside.

I am positive, most of the time, and enjoy to smile and laugh and enjoy life as much as possible... (most people would say I smile - ALL of the time) however, I'm also a human being with intellect, thoughts, feelings, opinions, desires, and I too can be hurt or feel unhappy, sad, angry etc... even if I choose not make a show of it.
I do LOVE most everything! The wind, the rain, the snow, the sun, the birds in the trees, the puddles on the ground, the way the rain makes perfect circles in the puddles, the little things that make each person unique, the things we do...work, play, movies, walking... you get the picture...most everything I see and do I enjoy.
Life is "sensational" and I love the sensations that life brings, from the snowflakes kissing my skin, to the sound of music, to the feeling of being with people that fill my heart with joy. Although, I can be quiet and reserved when meeting new people, I can also be open and outgoing when I feel safe and in good company.
I love to feel inspired, and I have a creative mind - I enjoy the endless possibilities that art in all forms can bring (and isnt life one of those forms!). I personally write and play music, and I appreciate the creative side of others - especially in areas that I'm not gifted.
I love to try new things...I can build bookshelves, and sheds (even apply shingles), I'm a great "assistant" to the handyman and am enjoying learning all the powertools, and how to create with wood! I love to walk in nature, hike, bike, I'm learning to climb (indoors and outdoors) and can belay like a champ, I enjoy yoga at *least* once a week. In the winter I curl in a league - something I've only learned in the last few years. I'm also learning to ski and would love to learn cross country next year. Since moving to Canada I've learned some amazing new things such as: to bhangra dance (and performed for the Olympic torch relay), to play the tenor drum in a pipes and drums band (this is one of my favourite things!), I learned to kayak, I qualified as a lifeguard/swim instructor, got my pleasure craft operators licence, and passed the exam for the restricted and non restricted firearms courses. Learning and growing are a part of my life :)
I also love movies, some cheeseball tv shows, reading all sorts of books, and listening to great music... all music, I dont discriminate - music that feels good to me, is good!
Travel is a passion, as is my home - (which is Canada by choice, not by birth) - there is no feeling like travelling to a new place and experiencing the sights and sounds and delights... then returning to the home that lives in your heart, wherever that may be. I also love to feel the simple pleasure of going for a drive in and around my own home, I enjoy driving to a new place and exploring, or just the act of driving itself with some good music and beautiful scenery...
What am I looking for...? Someone who feels right to me :)
