In recent years I have taken small groups to India from Canada to reflect on their lifestyle practices beliefs in light of current global situation. I am deeply commited to being part of making connections between our world and the developing world.
I have so many interests, life is too short for me to pursue them all- but I do my best. There is little I will not try at least once.I am not traditional in that I can put my hand to building, electrical work, etc. (I grew up beside my Dad doing all this and was never discouraged from trying my hand) but in other ways pretty traditional- I do enjoy being treated as a lady when out on the town- and simple courtesy in day to day interactions.
I am as at home in a pair of coveralls working in the yard as I am in a silk dress out for an evening of diner and dancing.
All my life I have been making and creating- I am not a master of any art- but have some skill in most- I have played at sculpting, drawing,painting, I have played with artistic landscape and even a little with archetecture (all as hobby)
Connecting with earth and water brings me back to my heart- brings me back to my self.
I have spent an inordinate amount of my lifetime in school- and continue to think and wrestle with deep questions in life.
Spirituality is very important to me- rooted in the liberal tradition of the United Church, my primary teacher is Buddhist nun Pema Chodron..I am drawn to her teaching on compassion and walk easily as a ChristianBuddhist
I think my friends would describe me as forthright- idealistic and a bit impulsive- and generous (perhaps to a fault) with a kind heart.
I am strong- yes- and I have such a tender underbelly- and such a tender heart.
I would like to find a partner with whom I can share this road....someone who is also searching for ways to live on this earth with integrity and generosity and an open heart- someone I can walk beside and who can walk beside me as we discover more about this wondrous journey called life.

I am grateful for my family and children, family is very important to me. I have come a long way over the past few years having to basically start all over again. Going back to school to retrain /re-educate myself was scarey but a necessary step and one that I am very proud off, and graduating with honours was the icing on the cake!
