I am a health care professional with a PhD and I love my job. I work as part of a team and I own my own business - I'm really enjoying the challenges and variety of working within the public and private sector. I've learned to be much better at balancing a lot of responsibility with 'stopping and smelling the roses' to enjoy life moment to moment. Getting outside to play is very important to me. I'm not a star athlete, but I will always be a good sport and cheer on my friends who are, and I exercise to be fit enough that I can do whatever I want. Biking, camping, snowboarding, paddling, two half marathons booked in 2012 - being in the woods or being on the water are where I feel most at home. That being said I 'clean up good' and enjoy urban design, art, music, theatre, and most of all, making sure that I balance out the adversity in life with the joyful moments.I have a curious mind and love learning about new places, diverse differences, and doing my very best to make my life what I want it to be.
