Date a woman from British Columbia, Canada. Recently moved for new position at work after living my whole life in Penticton. Lots of changes but all positive! Looking for someone who wants to stay fit, have fun, can laugh at ourselves, but also knows when to be serious. I've worked in healthcare for almost 30 yrs and love what I do. I love spending time with my adult kids and family and would like someone who appreciates that as well. I enjoy many of the things the Okanagan has to offer and hope to meet someone who has similar interests and isn't afraid of a serious relationship if things head that way. I love most genres of music and couldn't live without it! I love to go dancing once in a while and have been known to do some good tequila shots, but there's not enough in the world to get me to do karaoke! LOL! I have been told I have a wicked sense of humour and tend to be more sarcastic-type and have no problem poking fun at myself. I love being outdoors, but also keep a beautiful home and take pride in that. But it is warm and comfortable, not sterile. I guess when it comes to the home I am fairly traditional but want someone who will appreciate the things I do to take care of him. However I also believe it's a partnership. I am working on finishing the landscaping in my yard and it's looking pretty good if I do say so myself, but will be glad when it's done. I don't mind hard work, makes Miller time worth it! I enjoy having friends in for a great dinner, wine and conversation, but also like to dine out. Love traveling and have been to quite a few places but not for a while. I have travelled alone or with my kids which is always fun. I have been to Australia a couple of times as my brother lives there, Mexico, Cuba, St Lucia, many of the southern States, and recently took my dad back to Nova Scotia and PEI .Looking forward to planning another vacation somewhere I haven't been. But summers and beaches here at home can't be beat!

I also enjoy playing tennis and try to at least once a week. Hiking is great though I probably prefer longer and somewhat less steep. Personal and spiritual growth are a part of my being too. I mean beauty in a spiritual sense, and all encompassing sense, as the wild/discipline in nature. I am a reflective person. I love having fun but typically with a good friend or two. I have been to Maui once and loved it there,, swimming with sea turtles in their natural environment, the warm water, flowers, fresh pineapple. I play a few musical instruments --- none very very well.... Can play a few songs on the guitar. I don't lean toward country music or hard rock. Folk music is more my style. Always liked Dylan and I do like John Prine, but also some classical and Eva Cassidy, , Etta James and many more. more later.....

However I am far from perfect, for example (I am ashamed to say), I do not like shopping (gasp), my friends roll their eyes and are exasperated with my lack of enthusiasm for the female ritual. I think I went for a hike when the shopping gene was handed out *heavy sigh*.

. I am a down to earth, easy going, confident woman comfortable in any setting; from a corporate boardroom to a blues festival. A little on the quiet, shy side with new people, I'd rather listen than be the centre of attention. One-on-one, I can find lots to talk about and enjoy meeting new people. My soft voice and gentle manner can be misleading as I am stronger than I seem.
I am educated and well read, and interested in everything. I like being challenged mentally with thought provoking conversation, d literature and the occaisonal Soduko. I am logical, organized and practical, but way more fun than Dr Spock.
Fast cars and downhill skiing scare me, but motorcycles don't. I had a motorcycle in my 20's.I don't mind getting my hands dirty and even took a motorcycle maintenance course. I soon learned I have no mechanical aptitude at all. I'd look good on the back of your bike.Or if motorcycles aren't yoru thing, riding our pedal bikes on a country road would be just as good.
Travel is a passion, the more exotic the location the better. I'd rather find my own way around than take a group tour. I have lived in several other countries and travelled to over 30 more. Places that I want to see next include, Iceland, Bhutan, Costa Rica and anywhere I've never been. I work for myself from home so my time is fairly flexible.
I am fairly active but not obsessive about it and keep in shape with long walks, bike rides, gym workouts, and yoga. I eat very healthy, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying dining out, as long as it's not a steak house. I find it hard to watch someone I care about not take care of themselves, so ideally you are fit and healthy too.
If you are smart, sexy and successful then we have something in common. A bit of adventurousness, a love of travel, kind heart, great laugh and enjoy reading, that's even better. .

. I live in a small town with about 3500. I live in the country and work in town 5 days aweek. I like to go for walks, movies, A &W is a big spot for coffee with friends. out for dinner, or even just stay at home. My home is my safe haven. I like to putter at the house, "Not all ladies can drive and operate a backhoe!"
I keep busy with my grandchildren they take up lots of my time. My time is theirs. I am very honest, independent and down to earth. I am a country girl with lots of dreams.

. I work and play in the outdoors and would love to share this with someone who has similar interests. I run my own business as a garden designer and employ two part time staff. I love to travel and enjoy swimming, biking, hiking, horseback riding, downhill skiing and many other outdoor activities. My favorite although is snorkeling in the warm waters of the south/Caribbean. I am a certified diver but don't dive as often as I would like. A good diving buddy would be great! I hope to find someone perhaps who is a diver too. I love to travel and experience other parts of the world.
I love to laugh and I have a great sense of humor. I believe in the power of now and know the value. I hope to find someone who understands this and enjoys the surprises the day can unfold. I am very spiritual and gain much of my drive and energy from the outdoors...plants, animals and nature.
