I tend to read a lot of non-fiction, science/nerdy kind of stuff, though I do love a Dan Brown-type book here and there but some of my favorites are the Last Lecture, Kitchen Confidential, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, The Stranger, and Meditations.
Music is so hard to quantify because it's constantly changing and evolving, along with our moods but I do tend to love big band, reggae, jazz, singer/standards, rock, classical, electronica, instrumentals, acoustic, etc. etc.
I'd rather read a book than watch TV but if I do I'm usually watching stuff that'll either makes me laugh and/or a more intelligent person, so shows like Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Anthony Bourdain's: No Reservation's, and anything on the History or Discovery Channel.
I'm a foodie, I like to actively seek out the very best food possible. It's a challenge, it's fun, it's an adventure and I usually end up meeting some wonderful people with an enormous passion and dedication to what they do along the way.

On a typical Friday night I usually find myself in Gastown, North Van, and Yaletown on the weekends. Though, I don't really feel pressured to go out every night of the weekend so I will find myself relaxing at home or at a low-key coffee shop reading or catching up on school work, just depends on what's going on that particular night.
I am adopted and have no idea who my "real" parents are yet I have no desire to find out who they are. I have had a wonderfully fortunate life with the parents who've raised me for the past 24 (soon to be 25) years of my life and to me that's all that matters.

Date a boy from Canada. Well, this is hard for me to do because I feel I'm a pretty modest person. It's never easy typing about yourself with the hopes of sparking interest in someones eyes. But I figure it is best to be honest so here is a bit about myself.
I'm 25 living downtown Vancouver. I moved away from Kelowna last year, by myself in hopes of finding a new life in the city. Family is a big part of me so it is a little tough being away, but texting and the internet keeps us close. It's worked out well for me so far here in Van and I really love it. But I now want to enjoy the sights and sounds of the city with someone new who I can get close with.
I feel like I am a pretty outgoing person. I enjoy going out and trying new things, I think change is exciting! But I am also very laid back, as I like to enjoy the simple things in life like spending an evening in cooking dinner and watching TV. I'm not the type of person who goes out to the clubs all the time, however I do enjoy a nice pub every once and awhile.
Sports are big in my life, I grew up playing hockey so sometimes in my free time, now, i like to throw on the skates and shoot the puck around. Tennis is another sport that I like to play, even though I'm still very new at playing would love to have an eager partner to play with once the weather improves!
